Panoramic shooting skills

Lead: With the development of science and technology and the popularization of image processing technology, it is very easy to shoot panoramic images. Anyone can shoot and make ordinary panoramic images with digital cameras or even smart phones and convenient panoramic stitching processing software. The following are the panoramic photography techniques I have carefully arranged for you. Welcome to refer to them!

First, the right focal length.

Some people think that when taking panoramic photos, the viewing angle should be as large as possible, so the shortest focal length (wide-angle lens or wide-angle end of zoom lens) should be used, so the number of photos spliced is less. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. It saves trouble when shooting and saves trouble when sewing. Because the wide-angle lens has a strong perspective effect, especially at the edge of the picture, it is easy to distort and it is difficult to achieve seamless stitching. But wide angle has the advantage of wide angle, which can form a stronger sense of perspective. For example, the above picture is a work shot by Canon EF 17-40mm. In addition to panoramic perspective, the film also has a strong perspective relationship, so it can be shot with a medium focal length or a telephoto end with small deformation, and it is not appropriate to change the focal length in the middle of shooting. Commonly used lenses are EF35mm, EF50mm and ef 85 mm. The picture shows mike2009' s medium telephoto panorama.

Second, the exposure parameters

Nowadays, many digital cameras have special panoramic modes. In this mode, the camera will automatically set the exposure parameters according to the requirements of taking panoramic photos. For those without panoramic function, cameras should pay attention to the following points:

① Average metering is used for metering, and manual exposure or AE lock is used to lock exposure parameters during exposure. Settings such as aperture, speed, ISO, resolution, etc. cannot be changed during the shooting of the same group of panoramic photos;

② Use fixed white balance. Using automatic white balance may cause different photos to have different tones.

Third, the shooting method

When shooting in a certain order (from left to right or from top to bottom, etc. ), it is best to use a tripod to rotate smoothly. Pay attention to the vertical axis when shooting in rotation. When shooting left and right or panning point by point, pay attention to the same camera height and angle. Generally, do not use flash, which will cause low light and far darkness. There must be an overlap between two adjacent photos when shooting. Some digital cameras of Canon, Casio and other brands have auxiliary prompts on LCD screens in panoramic mode. Avoid shooting when the light conditions change dramatically (such as clouds covering the sun), so as to avoid too much difference in screen exposure. When shooting, you should also pay attention to avoiding moving objects (such as vehicles and pedestrians) at the joints. Although it is beneficial for some automation software to identify and splice by choosing clearly marked positions as splicing points, we still suggest choosing positions that are not clearly marked and easy to mix as splicing parts, such as water surface, distant mountains, etc., so that it is not easy to see the seams when splicing.

Fourth, seamless splicing.

① Prepare a tripod.

② Adjust the white balance of the camera to cloudy. If set to automatic, the white balance in each photo may change, so the effect of the photo will be different.

③ It is best to shoot vertically, because edge deformation is more avoided than horizontal shooting.

(4) Each photo overlaps to 20%, ensuring that 1/4 of each photo appears on the second photo, which is beneficial to photoshop to overlap good photos.

⑤ Mark the first photo and the last photo, so that you can know where to start and end shooting.

6. Buy a cable releaser, which can be used for taking selfies. And there is no jitter when taking pictures.

7. The sooner you shoot, the better, because if there are clouds moving or the light changes, you should capture the picture quickly to ensure that the picture content will not deviate too much. Panoramic photography of ocean waves is the most difficult, and it is difficult for fleeting ocean waves to get neat photos through high-speed continuous shooting.
