The School of Design and Art of Hunan University attaches great importance to scientific research and discipline construction. As a key discipline in Hunan Province, design art has set up many key research directions with domestic advanced level, such as design history and theoretical research, people-centered design, industrial product design and communication design. , formed the discipline characteristics of "combining arts with science and coordinated development of Industry-University-Research". The National Art Design Practice Teaching Center of the College has domestic first-class experimental equipment for photography, computer-aided design and vehicle design.
