On the Quan Huafu, which focal length is more commonly used, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm or 85mm?
1.24 mm, which belongs to the ultra-wide angle range. Ultra-wide angle generally shoots large scenes and magnificent buildings (as a whole). Many wedding photographers also like to use 24mm for weddings. Of course, 24mm for wide-angle portraits can be used, but it is less.
2.28mm, 28mm belongs to the standard wide angle (the range of super wide angle and standard wide angle is controversial, I am talking about my photography teacher's theory). Many people say that 28mm is an awkward focal length, neither wide nor long. In fact, this problem can be reversed. The distortion of the 28mm basic lens is very small, so you don't have to worry about the edge stretching deformation when shooting landscapes or portraits. Some people will say that there was no PS before, but it is ok after using it now. The later period only makes up for it, and cannot replace the true edge perspective with 28mm focal length.
3.35mm and 35mm are undoubtedly the focus of human body. What is humanity? In fact, this is a difficult topic to answer. In my teacher's words, the society around you, or the place where people are, belongs to the humanities. 35mm is a very "square" or "moderate" focal length, without wide-angle exaggeration or telephoto compression, which is the best way to reflect this real society.
4.50mm and 50mm can also be used as focal segments of human body, and still life and portrait can also be taken. As long as it is a lens manufacturer, it will definitely produce 50mm (or a lens with a focal length equivalent to 50mm). The titles of "human optical essence" and "human head" are all given to 50mm, which is small, high quality and cheap (generally speaking, for example, 50 1.2 doesn't count ...). I have a Nikon 50 1.8G with a D700. There is nothing wrong with sweeping the street or shooting still life, and the light quality will not let me down.
5.85mm, 85mm is recognized as the golden focal segment of portrait. Professional portrait photographers, whether traditional or trendy, always have an 85mm (or 70-200, 135mm) lens in their hands. 85mm telephoto highlights people's five senses+large aperture blur+fixed focus excellent imaging. It can be said that 85mm is born for portraits!
A lens with any focal length can shoot any subject matter, and sometimes it is good to bring forth the old and bring forth the new, but most of the time photography still has to follow the "law".
