E-M 10 IV inherits the overall design of E-M 10 III. The warship with built-in flash is obviously wider and fatter than those from E-M 1 III and E-M5 III, and the top keeps the shape of decorative plate. However, Olympus does not directly follow the appearance mechanism of E-M 10 III. In the sense of operation, the handle and thumb placement block on the back of the fuselage are redesigned. It can be seen that the handle of E-M 10 IV protrudes outward in the lower half, which is larger than that of E-M 1 III, while the thumb at the back extends outward at a considerable angle.

To put it simply, when E-M 10 IV is held, the middle finger and the ring finger can create a more stable grip through the difference of the protruding sections at the grip, and the thumb can also be buckled through the design of the protruding sections. According to the author's personal experience, the one-handed grip of E-M 10 IV is even more stable than that of E-M5 III without vertical handle or extended grip. However, due to the size of the fuselage, the grip stability of professional lens with larger right hand is not as good as that of E-M 1 III. However, the newly introduced 12-45mm F4 or/III is used.

E-M 10 IV's remarkable upgrade point is the introduction of 20MP photosensitive elements at the same level as E-M 1 III and E-M5 III, and the use of the upgraded fuselage anti-vibration module, which is half a level higher than the previous generation, reaching 4.5-level correction, and the continuous shooting speed is also improved. Single focus 15fps, continuous tracking and focusing performance of 6.3fps is far better than that of E-M 10 III, and the highest is 8.6fps, even better than that of the previous generation mid-range computer E-M5 II.

Although E-M 10 IV's focusing system does not follow the example of mid-to high-end models using hybrid focusing, it still uses contrast focusing system. However, due to the introduction of a brand-new focusing logic system, the slow performance of bellows and continuous focusing, which are common in contrast focusing systems in the past, has been greatly improved, which also makes the continuous tracking focusing of E-M 10 IV with only contrast focusing reach 6.3fps.

The overall operation interface is inherited from E-M 10? The operation logic of III is biased towards E-PL series, which belongs to the design for light photographers and entry-level camera users. Although it can be understood that its concept is for the convenience of users who use interchangeable lens cameras for the first time, if they are used to the operation logic and configuration of quasi-professional bodies such as E-M5 or E-M 1, they may have to think a little before they can find the desired functions.

Of course, it inherits the core functions and interface of E-M 10 III, and also retains the advanced photography mode imported from E-M3 III. For users who are new to Olympus or have used Olympus but are not familiar with the special functions of the new model, the unique functions and shooting modes of Olympus camera can be further developed through the integrated guidance function of advanced photography mode.

Although the boxed E-M 10 IV is still equipped with an electric zoom lens of 14-42mm, due to some technical problems, including personal focal length preference, M.Zuiko Digital17mf1.8? Although the wide-angle fixed-focus lens has a wider personal preference in focal length, after all, considering the flexibility of matching and the price of the lens, I think this lens is quite suitable for use with E-M 10 IV.

As far as the use of the whole combination is concerned, the author still likes the redesigned grip part of E-M 10 IV, because the newly designed shape makes E-M 10 IV slightly larger than E-M 10 III, but even if I don't have a wristband or strap, I can still grab the fuselage with one hand and take a snapshot. However, because the author is more accustomed to shooting with physical keys, E-M 10 III needs to press the left navigation key more to select the focus. Compared with E-M5 III, it is not intuitive to move the focus directly with navigation keys.

As for the image quality performance, thanks to the upgrading of the photosensitive element to a newer 20MP element (although it is also a product of the E-M 1 II era), the image quality is improved compared with that of E-M 10 III, and the upgraded focusing point and focusing logic are matched with the focusing drive of M. Zuiko Digital17mf1.8. There is no contrast focusing bellows in the past, and the focusing situation is still ideal. As a generation of operators who are used to mobile phone cameras, they can also use the operation mode of touch photography with peace of mind.

Although E-M 10 III looks like E-PL series with electronic windows in terms of product characteristics, the overall design inherits the design of om traditional camera, and this time the design of the handle is changed, which not only has more maneuverability than the window (of course, the warship department of electronic windows is also equipped with built-in flash, which is also a differentiated design), but also has the advantages of simplicity and ease of use.
