How to use PQ partition demon master

When many friends buy computers, in order to save time, computer manufacturers always divide the hard disk into a partition when installing the system, and then install the system directly, so when we start the computer, we will find a C disk on the hard disk. Because of daily needs, only one partition is unreasonable. I always want to store different files in different partitions. So how to change the hard disk partition without destroying the current system? Then we should invite Master Mo (hereinafter referred to as PQ) out of the mountain. However, if there is data on the hard disk, you need to organize the disk before partitioning.

First, adjust the partition capacity.

1. Start PQ8.0. In the program interface, we see that the hard disk has no partition before adjustment. When adjusting the partition, we first separate some space from the current partition. The method is simple. Just select the current partition in the partition list, right-click and select the command "Adjust Capacity/Move Partition" from the right-click menu (as shown in figure 1).

2. Open the Adjust Capacity/Move Partition dialog box. Enter the new capacity of the partition in the New Capacity setting box of the dialog box. Then the capacity of the remaining partition will automatically appear in the "After Free Space" setting box, which is the capacity we divided. After adjustment, click OK (as shown in Figure 2).

Figure 2

Tip: When adjusting the partition, we can also directly adjust it by dragging the partition capacity slider at the top of the dialog box.

3. At this point, we see that an unallocated space has been left for us in PQ. To use this remaining space, click the "Create Partition" command in the "Partition Operation" item on the left and the "Create Partition" dialog box will pop up. Select the partition format in Partition Type, and enter the volume label of the partition at Volume Label. Enter the capacity of the configuration partition in Capacity (as shown in Figure 3).

Figure 3

Tip: By default, the program creates a partition for the entire unconfigured space size. If you want to configure this unconfigured space into multiple partitions, you can enter the size of the configuration partition here.

4. Finally, click OK to create a new partition (as shown in Figure 4), and you can continue to create other partitions according to this method.

Second, format the partition.

After the partition is successfully created, the newly created partition cannot be used until it is formatted. When Formatting, select the partition to format, right-click Format to open the Format Partition dialog box, select the partition type and volume label, and then click OK (as shown in Figure 5).

Third, create a system partition.

After partition adjustment, sometimes we need to install an extra operating system. In PQ, we can subdivide the system into a new partition. And ensure that it has the correct attributes to support the operating system. Let's take the installation of XP system as an example to see how to partition the operating system.

1. Install another operating system.

First click the "Select Task" option in the left menu bar, and then click the "Install another system" command in the dialog box, and an installation wizard dialog box will pop up (as shown in Figure 6). Click Next to continue.

2. Select the operating system

After entering the "Select Operating System" dialog box, we need to select the operating system type to be installed among various operating system types, such as Windows XP (as shown in Figure 7). Then click Next to continue.

3. Select the creation location

Select the location of the new partition in the Create Location dialog box, such as "After C: Before E:" to create a new system partition directly between the C disk and the E disk (as shown in Figure 8). Click Next to continue.

Extraction space

After entering the dialog box "From which partition to extract space", we need to check the partition to extract space in the check box below. The program supports pushing space from multiple partitions at the same time (as shown in Figure 9). After making your selection, click Next to continue.

5. Partition properties

In the Partition Properties window, we set the size, volume label and partition type of the partition (as shown in figure 10). Click Next to continue.

Set partition

If you need to install the operating system now, select the "Immediately" option here, and if you want to install the system later, just select the "Later" option here (as shown in figure 1 1). Click Next to continue.

7. Confirm your choice

Enter the "Confirm Selection" window, and the program will give the hard disk partition comparison diagram before and after the partition is created. Click "Finish" after confirmation to create a new partition. We can install the system in this partition in the future. After the above settings are completed, click the "should" button at the bottom of PQ interface, and the above settings will take effect after restarting the computer.

Well, after learning the above system, we can easily adjust the hard disk partition by using partition magic, and these operations are all carried out in the Windows environment. How about it! If you are not satisfied with the partition on the hard disk, don't try.
