How to apply for a Hong Kong visa

Mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong do not apply for visas. Hong Kong documents are collectively referred to as Hong Kong and Macao passes. They only need to hold a valid Hong Kong and Macao pass for mainland residents and a valid personal endorsement.

Materials for applying for Hong Kong and Macao passes: Travelers need to bring their original ID cards and original household registers to the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau at the place of residence to apply for the application. Photos need to be taken on-site at the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau, usually 8-10 It can be processed within 1 working day. (Friendly reminder: There is currently no expedited service.
