Tianxin Temple is located in Lianhua Mountain, Tianxin Temple Town, Banan District. The mountain naturally forms a lotus flower, which has a certain fit with the Buddhist Lotus Pagoda. The wonders of lotus are unique in Chongqing. Tianxin Temple, named Tianxin, has unfathomable Buddhist meaning. Tianxin Temple is a district-level protected cultural relic. It was built in the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. During Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty (1867), Guandi Hall was rebuilt, Daxiong Hall was rebuilt in three years of the Republic of China, and Dharma Hall was rebuilt in fifteen years of the Republic of China. Before liberation, it was one of the four Buddhist holy places in Chongqing, and many important Buddhist activities were held here. The temple covers an area of 10 mu, with a large scale. There are nearly 100 existing upper halls, middle halls and wing rooms, and many stone carvings can still be seen. Fengyangou Reservoir is located in Tianxingsi Town, central Banan District, 70km away from Chongqing, with an area of172mu, a water surface of 67mu and an altitude of 692m. Fengyangou Reservoir Scenic Area has a large number of natural landscapes such as springs, waterfalls, rivers, forests and strange mountains and rocks, as well as cultural landscapes such as Shihe font library and Taiping Bridge built during Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Fengyangou Reservoir is surrounded by mountains, the lake is green as jade, and there is an island in the middle of the lake. The dam spans north and south, and the waterfall is spectacular. Under the dam, the stream is gurgling, winding between caves, and the cliff is in various shapes. It is tender and sharp in Gu Teng, full of green eyes. The surrounding natural vegetation is good, the scenery is charming, the climate is cool and the air is fresh. People who live here have always lived a long life (there are three centenarians), and there are rare red osmanthus trees. It is one of the few scenic spots in the suburbs of Chongqing, and it is an ideal place for the elderly to travel, summer vacation, leisure and rest.
