2. Shiwanying Mountain

Shiwanying Mountain is one of the six famous mountains in Huangping. Shiwanying is located on the top of Shiniu Qinpo mountain 5 kilometers north of Jiuzhou ancient city. Some people also call it "Wanying Zhanhou". Its name originated during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. In the later years of the Qing Dynasty, the court was corrupt and the people were in dire straits. Zhang Xiumei, a Miao nationality in Taijiang County, Guizhou, rose up and led the Miao people in an uprising against the Qing Dynasty. This lasted for 18 years, and the uprising team captured most of Guizhou. In 1857, the Miao rebel army captured Jiuzhou, and the majority of Han people in the northwest of Huangping were very frightened. At that time, there was an 80-year-old man named Nie Honglun in a bowl of water in Jiuzhou. He called himself Mr. Nie Jianggong. Mr. Nie Laojiang believed in the Denghua Sect and claimed that he was profound in Taoism. He could not only block artillery fire with magic, but also know other people's privacy. When he sold salt, he gave it to others with the palm of his hand, without weighing it, but the weight was exactly the same, so the people believed that he was like a god. In 1867, Zhang Xiumei led the rebel army to invade Jiuzhou again. Local Han folk songs said that the Miao rebel army would burn, kill, loot and take captives after entering the city. Therefore, people were panicked and fled in all directions. So Mr. Nie Jiang went to the top of the mountain to set up a flag, and collected refugees from Huangping, Yuqing, Weng'an, Meitan and other counties, and camped on the top of the mountain to protect themselves. Jiang Gong also organized young men for training and obtained more than 20,000 soldiers, known as the One Hundred Thousand Soldiers. This is how the "One Hundred Thousand Battalion" got its name. Three years later, Duke Jiang thought he had strong soldiers and horses and was proficient in magic, and his ambitions were swelled. He led his troops to invade the Miao settlement in the Gulong area in the southeast of Huangping, and went straight to Yanmensi, the castle of the Miao rebel army. The Miao rebel army fought with Nie Lao Jiang Gong's soldiers. , countless soldiers killed Lao Jianggong Nie. Lao Jianggong was also shot during the war. The remaining soldiers fled back to Jiuzhou and were automatically disbanded. In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang sent General Fu Youde to lead an army of 300,000 to conquer the southwest, Thailand and Myanmar. Fu Youde sent General Nandang to lead more than 10,000 troops to station in the mountains to suppress the local Miao people and protect the ancient post roads. Jiuzhou, the last navigation port, ensured the logistics supply of the Ming army.

3. Jiuzhou Tianhou Temple

Jiuzhou Tianhou Temple, also called Mazu Temple, is the same as the Mazu temples in other coastal cities in my country, as well as in Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries. A goddess, this goddess is the Queen of Heaven. The queen's original name was Lin Mo. She was an ordinary fisherman girl born in Xianlianggang, Putian County, Meizhou, Fujian during the Song Dynasty. Legend has it that Lin Mo was smart since she was a child. At the age of 15, she was proficient in medical skills, cured people, did good deeds to help others, and even never married for the rest of her life. She is familiar with water and often crosses the sea to rescue boatmen and fishermen in distress. She is revered as a goddess by people. Unfortunately, he died during a rescue operation at the age of 28. After her death, people worshiped her as a deity, built a temple to worship her, and honored her as Mazu. Later, she was granted the title of Mazu by the imperial courts of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. More than a thousand years have passed, and people still haven’t forgotten her. Why? This is because her love touched thousands of people and her deeds shocked everyone.
