One of the core scenic spots of East Lake Scenic Area is located on the northwest bank of Guozheng Lake, the largest lake in East Lake. It is said that Zhu Zhen, the sixth son of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty, once played the flute here when he was sealed in Wuchang, hence the name "Flute Mountain".

Wild Goose Area

is located along the waters of Tuanhu Lake in the eastern part of East Lake, south of Maanshan Forest Park Valley in Jiu Feng, facing Moshan Scenic Area across the lake. There are more than 3 ancient and famous trees and their follow-up resources, which is the most concentrated and ornamental ancient and famous tree community in Wuhan.
