Changbai Mountain Tianchi, also known as Baitoushan Tianchi, is located in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve in the southeast of Jilin Province. In ancient times, Changbai Mountain was originally a volcano. According to historical records, it has erupted three times since the 16th century. When the volcano erupted and ejected a large amount of lava, the crater formed a basin. Over time, water accumulated and formed a lake, which became the current Tianchi. The lava material erupted by the volcano accumulated around the crater, forming 16 peaks standing around, 7 of which are in North Korea and 9 in our country.
