Golmud Kunlun Tourist Area 1

Golmud City, backed by Kunlun Mountain, is located in Qaidam Basin, a "cornucopia" where Wanbao gathers, forming a Kunlun cultural tourist area centered on Golmud. Kunlun Mountain rises from Pamirs, flies down in the air and sweeps thousands of miles from east to west. Endless gray, towering snow peaks, glaciers, towering magic. Since ancient times, Kunlun Mountain has become a sacred place for people of all ethnic groups in China. Kunlun Mountain has a prominent position as the "ancestor of Wanshan Mountain" in the cultural history of the Chinese nation. The ancients called Kunlun Mountain the "dragon ancestor vein" of China.

2. Kunlun Mountain Geopark

Kunlun Mountain Geopark is located in Golmud City, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The park covers an area of 1403 square kilometers. It consists of Nachitai Scenic Area, Xidatan Scenic Area and Yaochi Scenic Area with three different styles. In the Taoist culture of China, Kunlun Mountain is known as "the ancestor of all mountains" and "the hometown of all gods". Kunlun Mountain was also the location of Taoist mixed Taoist Dojo in the late Ming Dynasty, but it gradually disappeared due to changes.

3. Chaerhan Salt Lake

Chaerhan Salt Lake is located in Golmud City, Qinghai Province. It is the largest salt lake in China and one of the most famous inland salt lakes in the world. 750 kilometers away from Xining, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway runs through it. The salt lake is160km long from east to west, 20-40km wide from north to south, with a salt layer thickness of 2-20m, covering an area of 5,800km 2,670m above sea level. There are more than 50 billion tons of sodium chloride in the lake, which can be eaten by people all over the world 1000. It also produces world-famous carnallite, which is crystal clear and lovely.

4. Qaidam Basin

Qaidam basin is located in the depths of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, surrounded by Altun Mountain, Qilian Mountain and Kunlun Mountain. There are more than 5,000 salt lakes in the crescent valley formed by mountains and plateaus with an average elevation of more than 4,000 meters, of which Qinghai Lake is the largest, with an area of 1.600 square kilometers. The Ya Dan landform in Qaidam Basin is world-famous, which is caused by weathering. The salt production and minerals in the basin are quite rich, so it is no wonder that people regard the Qaidam Basin as a "wealth basin".

5. Cocoa beans

Hoh Xil, located at the junction of Tibet and Qinghai, is one of the regions with the best preserved primitive ecological environment in the world and one of the nature reserves with the largest area, the highest altitude and the richest wildlife resources built in China. Mount Kekexili and Mount Dongbule run through the middle of this area, and there are two wide valley and lake basins between them, with relatively flat terrain. There are modern glaciers in the mountainous areas above 5500 ~ 6000 meters above sea level.
