Pennsylvania’s tourism industry is very developed. Because there are many mountains, many lakes and many historical sites. There are many state parks across the state, but no national parks.

Harrisburg

Harrisburg, a small city in the central part of Pennsylvania, is located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. In the early 18th century, an Englishman named Harris established a trading post here, hence the city's name. The city is home to the majestic State Capitol Building. Hershey in the eastern suburbs houses the world's largest chocolate factory. At the Chocolate World here, you can take an automatic car through the cocoa tree garden and see the advanced machinery and equipment that turn cocoa beans, milk and sugar into chocolate bars.

Gettysburg

Gettysburg, 50 kilometers south of Harrisburg, is the most famous battlefield site in the history of the American Civil War. At the dedication ceremony, President Lincoln delivered a widely read short speech, proposing the slogan "government of the people, by the people, for the people". A monument to the fallen soldiers now stands where the lecture was given.

Erie

In the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, on the shore of Lake Erie, lies Erie, the third largest city in the state. Yili is an important lake port and industrial city with a population of 108,000 (1994). There is Presque Isle Park on the lakeside. The two-masted warship "Niagara" was moored nearby. It served as the U.S. military's flagship in the Battle of Lake Erie during the Second Anglo-American War (1813) and is now available for tourists to visit.

Allentown and Bethlehem

Allentown in eastern Pennsylvania and adjacent towns such as Bethlehem form an industrial and mining area of ??about 500,000 residents. Pittsburgh, home to PNC Stadium and Steelers Stadium, is a famous city for watching football games.
