What is the most worthwhile place to go in Kashgar, the ancient city of Xinjiang?

Even if it is not Kashgar, I have never been to Xinjiang. Although this is a bit grandiose, Kashgar is really worth visiting. I have been to southern Xinjiang for a month and recommend several places worth visiting.

Taxian county

I think it's a pity that many people go to Kashgar but not Taxian. There are too many reasons to go to this small county on the Pamirs.

1. borders three countries, namely Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Ta County: The full name of Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County is located on the Pamir Plateau in Kashgar.

Muhitag PK

Mustag Atta, located on the Pamirs, is known as the "father of icebergs" and attracts countless enthusiasts to climb it every year. As a general tourist, you can go to the base camp to see the glaciers.

Below Mustag Atta, there is a girl lake, Lake Karakuli, which reflects Mustag Atta. There are swamps and wetlands by the lake. In autumn, the wetlands are golden and the mountains in the distance are snowy. The lake under the mountain peak is like a sapphire belt.

Many people arrived in Ta county, only stayed in Kahu for more than ten minutes, and then continued on their way. Even if I don't go to see the glaciers, I recommend staying in Lake Kaka for one night.

Gao Tai dwellings

The film "The Kite Runner" was shot in an adobe house, where people lived and occasionally children chased and played.

I also visited many handmade dishes, such as ceramic bowls. Some homeowners will charge, and most of them are free.

Id Kah mosque

The largest mosque in Xinjiang, Muslims from all over the country and even foreign Muslims gather in front of the square to worship during Eid al-Adha every year.

Just watched the grand festival of 20 14, and thousands of people gathered in the square. However, I heard that for security reasons, so many people are not allowed to gather now, which is unknown.

Kashi Dabazha

Bazaar with Xinjiang characteristics is full of various commodities, such as scarves, carpets, tapestries, silverware, ceramics and so on. Silver is so delicate that people can't help wanting to buy it. There are many fruits, nuts and so on.

There is also a cattle and sheep market, which is also very interesting. All kinds of cattle and sheep are taken to the road and sold on the street. The buyer leads the way directly.

If you have friends you know, you can be invited to visit a Uighur friend's house, so that you can experience life in Kashgar more deeply.

I was very impressed when I went to the local people's home with my friends. They attach great importance to festivals and are very enthusiastic about their guests. The food is full of tables, and they also attach great importance to etiquette. The host always sits with us and is very picky about providing food. Don't be confused about which way to go first and which way to go after. )
