Travel Notes︱Ice and Snow Harbin (1) - Polar Museum Songhua River Central Street

This is a personal travel experience record. Compared with many travel guides on the Internet, there is nothing special about it. It is just a manuscript that I retain for my increasingly blurred memory.

Half a year ago, with my longing for the north, I applied to my tutor to study in Beijing for one year.

Due to the busy study schedule and the fact that the school is far away from the city, I don’t have many opportunities to experience the magic of the ancient capital of Beijing.

I encountered four snows, which satisfied the snow fantasy of a typical southerner who has lived south of the Tropic of Cancer for more than 20 years.

Unfortunately, the snow was not thick and it melted quickly. I don't think it's enough.

So, taking advantage of the fact that many classes in the new semester have not yet started, and the ice and snow are still there, I took my friends and went straight to Harbin, the northernmost provincial capital of the motherland

It was still cold in Harbin in late February. Walking on the way to the Polar Museum, it was covered with white snow and peaceful.

I chose to go to the Polar Museum on Friday to avoid the weekend crowds. Although there were a lot of people, the overall tour felt comfortable and not crowded.

The first theme when entering the museum is Daxinganling. There are many kinds of fish in the huge water tank, which can be fed with fish food. The children had a lot of fun.

The corridor is like an aisle in a ship's cabin. The paintings tell the lives of great navigators, including Columbus, Magellan, Zheng He...

There are many independent fish tanks with clever settings. , very attentive. I was a little excited to see the real version of Dolly

There are many jellyfish in the long cylindrical water tank, and lights of different colors shine in the water, making it like a dream.

When we walked to the polar bear area, one was on the shore and the other was flipping a tire in the water. It didn't take long for me to get tired of it, and I walked up and down the shore. The two huge polar bears looked very anxious in such a small space.

The arctic fox is very cute. The little thing playfully wakes up its sleeping companion and starts a fight.

Next to it is the penguin area. The penguins are very fast in the water, and the photos are amazing. is vague.

The biggest selling point of the Polar Pavilion is the beluga whale show and walrus show

The beluga whale show lasts for twelve minutes, and there are only a small number of spectators. Many people came half an hour in advance to reserve seats. Two female hosts, one Chinese and one Russian, are bilingual hosts. There must be many tourists from Russia. The tacit cooperation between the beluga whale and the trainer, the difficult movements coupled with music and lights, made the performance very exciting.

The venue for the walrus performance is relatively spacious. It is also hosted by Chinese and Russian bilinguals, and two walruses performed one after another. The female trainer is very beautiful, and her partner is a star walrus from Russia, who is very cute and funny, with a fat and big beard. Next on the stage is the star walrus from the United States, and its trainer is a handsome guy (really handsome!). American walruses are excellent athletes, swimming at extremely fast speeds, spinning hula hoops, and padding balls.

Originally, the sea was wide enough for fish to leap, and the sky was high enough for birds to fly. When I came here out of curiosity to shop, I was pleasantly surprised and felt ashamed. Some people say that if you don't come, others will come, and they are here. In this world, some people are happy, some are suffering, some are depressed, and some are forging ahead. Life is full of life, endless. Everything has its own destiny. Selfish human beings and selfish selves cannot hate it. But there won't be a second time.

2 Stalin Park & ??Songhua River

It was already evening when we came out of the Polar Museum, and we could see the thousands of miles of frozen Songhua River, which was a worthwhile trip. At this time, the temperature dropped suddenly, and my friend's phone was frozen to the point of shutting down. The ice on the river is very solid. Some people took photos in the middle of the river and even drove on the ice. The skating rink was cleared along the coast and everyone had a great time.

3 Flood Control Victory Memorial Tower & Central Street

The buildings in Harbin mostly maintain a matching style, with spacious streets and magnificent buildings, just like the bold and enthusiastic Northeastern people are very charming.
