The county magistrates of Xiuwu County in 2016 are Lu Hope (November 2013-July 2016) and Gao Fangzheng (August 2016-January 2019).

1. Lu Hope

Male, Han nationality, born in August 1974, from Queshan, Henan, graduate degree, doctor of law, member of the Communist Party of China. He once served as deputy director of the Complaints Office of the Henan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial Youth Federation. In November 2013, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Xiuwu County Party Committee and acting county magistrate.

In March 2014, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Xiuwu County Party Committee and county magistrate. In March 2016, he served as secretary of the Shanyang District Committee of Jiaozuo City. In November 2018, he was appointed Secretary of the Qinyang Municipal Party Committee, Henan Province.

2. Gao Fangzheng

Male, Han nationality, born in May 1973, from Qinyang, Henan Province. He has a university degree from the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee and is a member of the Communist Party of China. He once served as deputy secretary of the Mengzhou Municipal Party Committee; in January 2015, he planned to be nominated for the position of county mayor.

In September 2016, he served as a member, standing committee member and deputy secretary of the Xiuwu County Committee of the Communist Party of China, and was nominated as the county magistrate of the Xiuwu County People's Government. In September 2016, he served as deputy county magistrate and acting county magistrate of Xiuwu County People's Government. In January 2019, he served as director of the Jiaozuo City Finance Bureau.

On the morning of September 19, 2016, the 51st meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th County People’s Congress was held in the fifth conference room of the County Culture and Art Center. Zhou Linzhong, deputy director of the County People's Congress Standing Committee, presided over the meeting, and deputy directors Guo Xiaoyuan and Wang Shengli attended the meeting.

Zhou Linzhong issued the appointment letter to Gao Fangzheng, Gao Fangzheng took the oath of office, and Shen Lin read out the application and introduced the personnel to be appointed.
