With the care and support of Zhenjiang Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government and all walks of life, the construction of the new Zhenjiang Museum was listed as one of the 16 practical events in 2002. The new museum started construction on February 36, 2002, and was completed and opened to the public at the end of 2004. The new museum is backed by Yuntai Mountain, covering an area of 5,300 square meters, with a building area of 5 158 square meters.
