These treasures, flashing the wisdom and civilization of the Chinese nation, show the footprints of the historical development of Zhenjiang ancient city.

With the care and support of Zhenjiang Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government and all walks of life, the construction of the new Zhenjiang Museum was listed as one of the 16 practical events in 2002. The new museum started construction on February 36, 2002, and was completed and opened to the public at the end of 2004. The new museum is backed by Yuntai Mountain, covering an area of 5,300 square meters, with a building area of 5 158 square meters. After the completion of the new museum, the building area of the whole museum will be expanded to 20,000 square meters, and the building area will also be expanded to 10600 square meters.
