Dunhuang, which I have longed for so much, finally has the opportunity to go and see it with my Hongqi H5.
I have never been to Dunhuang, but in recent years I have always been attracted by a mysterious force. Whether it is the ancient charm of this city or the longing for culture and civilization, there is always a kind of mysterious force in my mind. Thought: I want to go to Dunhuang. Under the power of modern self-media, I searched several keywords out of interest, and big data recommended me more and more Dunhuang travel plans and itineraries, which made me feel more excited. When I have free time this year, I can’t wait to plan my short two-day and one-night travel plan. ?Travel itinerary? D1: I arrived in Dunhuang in the morning, went to the reserved hotel to put my luggage, and then went to visit the Mogao Grottoes. I checked in at an Internet celebrity store in Dunhuang for lunch, went back to the hotel and took a one-hour lunch break. In the afternoon, I visited Leiyin Temple. We went to the Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring for five hours. In the afternoon, we went back to the hotel to eat some local specialties. In the evening, we went to see the live performance of the Dunhuang Festival, which ended the day. ?D2: I was not in a hurry in the morning. I set off to Yangguan. I had lunch at a nearby farmhouse at noon. I visited Yumenguan and Yadan Geopark in the afternoon. At the end of the trip, I visited the recently popular Shazhou Food Station and checked into the hotel in the evening. Set off to leave Dunhuang the next day. ?Get ready and take a nice photo of your car before setting off!
We also know that we need to book tickets for the Mogao Grottoes early. This time I booked the tickets almost a month in advance. It is impossible to come to Dunhuang without visiting the Mogao Grottoes. This place is known as the greatest art treasure house in Eurasia. It is really a wonder worth admiring in a lifetime, and it is a must-see for scholars who love Buddhist culture and human civilization. One of the attractions. Listening to the tour guide’s account, Dunhuang’s unique geographical location made Dunhuang the intersection of Chinese culture, Islamic culture, Greek culture, and Indian culture in ancient times. People of different skin colors and languages ??came and went, and different cultures collided and exchanged here. The blending of cultures drove economic exchanges, making the Silk Road a prosperous road. Dunhuang is right at the eastern throat of this road. The continued economic prosperity and population growth created conditions for the spread of religion. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Buddhism crossed the Pamir Plateau and entered Xinjiang, and continued to spread eastward, entering the Dunhuang area. Since a monk named Le Zun dug the first cave in southeastern Dunhuang in 366 AD, the Mogao Grottoes have begun a thousand-year history of grotto construction. Until one day in June 1900, a Taoist priest named Wang Yuanlu and his disciples accidentally discovered the Buddhist scripture cave in Cave No. 17 of the Mogao Grottoes. This discovery not only brought Dunhuang into the focus of the world's attention, but also brought great changes to Mogao Grottoes. The high cave brought irreparable disaster. Explorers and archaeologists from various countries smuggled more than 30,000 of the documents out of China in batches. Today these documents are housed in more than 30 museums and libraries in more than a dozen countries around the world. Today, the Mogao Grottoes are as fragile and helpless as fallen leaves swaying in the wind. Visitors from all over the world and the Dunhuang climate and sandstorms have affected the murals and stone statues of the Mogao Grottoes to varying degrees. Fortunately, there is also a group of old scholars who love Dunhuang and the Mogao Grottoes who take good care of them. We are able to see the murals on display in the Mogao Grottoes now. We also lament that with the development of science and technology, we can now use technology to digitally display the murals. It is presented in a real-life way for tourists to enjoy. All in all, friends who cherish what they have now and can come as soon as possible to witness the great crystallization of human wisdom should come and experience the spiritual shock brought by the Mogao Grottoes.
Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring: Because Leiyin Temple is also near Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, before going to the scenic spot, we visited Leiyin Temple first. The architectural style of Leiyin Temple is more like an ordinary private house than the palaces, government offices, and mansions of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The simple and solemn feeling made me feel calm as soon as I entered the temple. . From the Jin Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, it was the place where great sages from the Western Regions carried out Buddhism and traveled to Xi, and it was also the place where eminent monks from the Central Plains traveled westward by land to seek Dharma. Eminent monks such as Zhu Fahu, Faxian, Kumarajiva, and Xuanzang all left their indelible traces here. Therefore, this auspicious and peaceful resort had the reputation of "a holy land of good countries and a holy land of Buddhism" in the Tang Dynasty. After a brief visit to Leiyin Temple, we came to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring, the highlights of today's itinerary. ?This unique spectacle of "a spring reflecting the moon but without dust" and "a spring never drying up even if it is filled with sand forever" was also shocking when I witnessed it with my own eyes. Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring are like twin sisters in the Gobi desert. They have been by each other's side since I don't know when. Where the mountain springs are located, the sand springs are born. The day we went there happened to be a day when the sun wasn't very strong, and the weather was very nice, with a cool breeze blowing. My friend and I had already dreamed of wearing red dresses and taking photos at Mingsha Mountain. We wore red dresses and shawls. I went and took hundreds of photos. But friends, when the sun is very strong when you come here, it is not recommended to just wear a skirt, and be sure to wear sunscreen, because there is almost no shade on Mingsha Mountain to enjoy the cool air. Now that we have arrived at Mingsha Mountain, my friends and I have experienced all the projects that can be experienced.
I have experienced sandboarding, camel riding, desert off-road vehicles, and paragliding. It really made me, a southerner, feel the fun of playing in the desert that I had never experienced before. The prices of the scenic spots are quite reasonable. If If you feel that paragliding and desert off-road vehicles are more expensive, you can choose to experience camel riding. Camel riding is really cost-effective and well worth a try. I have never ridden a camel before, and I made a little fuss at the beginning. It was a joke, but luckily the guy who pulled the camel patiently taught me how to do it. But it is true that the guy who pulled the camel worked very hard. Before we took him away, my friend and I gave him some tips, hoping to give him a little bit of strength. Because we had to go to the scheduled Dunhuang Festival performance at 9pm, my friend and I regretted that we were not able to catch the sunset at Mingsha Mountain. This was really a pity, but my friend and I were still very fulfilled and satisfied with our trip. Yes, I personally think that if you are not in a hurry, you should still witness the sunset or sunrise in the desert. You can also add it to your travel schedule to watch the sunrise in the morning. Visiting the Mogao Grottoes in the afternoon is also a very good choice. Finally, if you want to take photos of Crescent Moon Spring, there are two best angles to appreciate or photograph Crescent Moon Spring: one is to climb to the top of the sand mountain and overlook Crescent Moon Spring; the other is to look at Crescent Moon Spring from a close distance.
I have traveled to many places before, and I have also visited many Internet celebrity attractions. In fact, most of them are not particularly satisfactory, but this time the grass-growing Shazhou Food Station is indeed unexpectedly satisfactory. One of the check-in points. Since it was already seven or eight o'clock when we arrived at Shiyi, my friend and I were already hungry. A place like Shiyi where you can taste Dunhuang specialties in one stop is really suitable for people like me and my friend who are in a hurry and are afraid of trouble. What a treasure. My friend and I also secretly asked the local tour guide who has a good relationship with us in the past few days whether the food at Shazhou Shiyi is authentic or not. The lady said that the taste is very authentic and that this place is very suitable for young people to gather. Let's drink beer together, taste the specialties and chat. We also played until late that night before going back to the hotel to rest. It was really a fulfilling day.
