Huilong Nunnery

Huilong Nunnery is located in Anxialing Village, Huangdong Village. It was built in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties. It was founded by Cantonese-speaking locals such as Fenggang and Qingxi, with a total construction area of ??199.2 square meters. It was rebuilt in the 28th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1902) and has a history of more than 600 years.
According to reports, Huilong Nunnery is a three-bay brick building with green bricks and green tiles. It is decorated with ceramic sculptures, wood carvings, reliefs and other techniques. The interior is decorated with carved beams and paintings. The statue of Guanyin Niang is enshrined in the nunnery. Embedded on the inner wall of the nunnery are 23 historical inscriptions recording the expansion, reconstruction and major local activities of Huilong nunnery, which are still well preserved. According to the inscription, Huilong'an "Xingxian Literary Society" has a history of more than 200 years and has become a place for cultural exchange and inheritance in Fenggang and surrounding areas.
It is reported that there are 17 Qing Dynasty inscriptions with 23 inscriptions of more than 50,000 words in the nunnery, which clearly record the surnames, origins, family migration and population changes of Fenggang Town over hundreds of years. , personal anecdotes, customs and habits and other precious historical materials, it can be called "the living fossil of Fenggang Hakka history". In 2014, Fenggang Town invested more than 2 million yuan in repairing Huilong Nunnery, which has been listed as an immovable cultural relic protection unit in Dongguan City.

Guanhe House is located in Rongshuxia Village, Huangdong. It was built in 1927 and is the most representative row house in Fenggang Town. Guanhe Building is eight stories high, about 24 meters, covering an area of ??43.5 square meters. The building is tall and majestic. There are murals and reliefs on the roof, which are beautiful. The ground floor is connected with other row houses to form a whole. The building stands among the houses, like a giant, standing proudly in all directions, guarding its home.
At present, there are 120 well-preserved row houses in Fenggang Town. Like Guanhe Building, most of these row houses were built with funds from overseas Chinese. The building is made of three-layer earth and is up to one meter thick.

Fenggang was called Tanglidong in ancient times. In the early years of the Republic of China, the place name Fenggang was established due to the construction of Fenggang Xinwei.
Fenggang Town is located in the southeast of Dongguan City, with 22°40′35″ north latitude and 114°6′42″ east longitude. To the southeast and west, it used to border Huiyang and Bao'an (now Longgang and Bao'an Districts of Shenzhen City), and to the north it was connected to Tangxia and Qingxi in this city. From the inscriptions established in Huangdong Zhuanlong Temple in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, it is recorded that the ancestors of the first batch of Hakkas who settled in Fenggang Village were "Thirteenth Duke". During the Republic of China, Fenggang had an area of ??103 square kilometers.
