Do you need a visa to go abroad?
Materials required for applying for a visa to go abroad:
1, account book;
2. ID card or other household registration certificate;
3. Work permit (retirement certificate);
4. Materials related to the reasons for leaving the country;
5. Letter of introduction: Bring my ID card or residence booklet to the exit-entry administration department of the local police station and public security bureau to receive the Examination and Approval Form for China Citizens Going Abroad for Private Purposes (hereinafter referred to as the "Application Form").
A visa is the endorsement and seal of the sovereign organ of a country on the passport or other travel documents held by its own citizens or foreign citizens to show the procedures for allowing them to enter, leave or transit. It can also be said that it is an endorsement certificate issued.
Visa processing flow:
1. First go to the entry-exit reception hall of the public security bureau where the household registration is located to apply for a passport;
2. Go to the police station where the household registration is located to open a certificate of no criminal record. People who want to go abroad need to do so because it is difficult to go abroad with a criminal record.
3. Then go to the travel agency for information about going abroad. Because there are many visas to go abroad, you need to know exactly what kind of visa to apply for.
4. Go to embassies and consulates in China, the country you want to enter, or designate a visa agency to get the travel application form and prepare the corresponding materials. Consular offices usually issue visas within 10 working days.
Legal basis: Article 17 of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) Municipality on the Administration of Exit and Entry of Citizens.
The passport of the People's Republic of China is valid for five years and can be extended twice, each time not exceeding five years. In foreign countries, passport extension shall be handled by China's diplomatic representative offices, consular offices or other overseas offices authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The extension of passports of China citizens who have settled in China shall be handled by the public security departments (bureaus) of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and the exit-entry administrative departments of public security organs authorized by them; The extension of passports of citizens living in China before leaving the country shall be handled by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at the place where the original documents are issued or where the household registration is located.
