Legend has it that it is the birthplace of Chiyou. On July 8th, 2002, Professor Peking University Xia identified the teeth and leg bones of Fanjiadong in Woong San, Xinhua County. He identified one as a rhinoceros fossil and the other as a panda fossil, dating back more than 1 10,000 years.

Professor Xia is an expert in geomorphology, Quaternary environmentology and environmental archaeology in Peking University, and the executive director of China Quaternary Scientific Research Association. At the invitation of Xinhua County People's Government, Professor Xia visited Daxiongshan Forest Park on behalf of the State Forestry Administration and China Forest Landscape Resources Evaluation Committee. Professor Xia told me that there are rhinoceros and panda fossils in the cave because they were either caught by the ancients or washed into the cave by the flood and turned into fossils. The discovery of the 10,000-year-old fossil is another evidence that the Big Bear Mountain is the hometown of Chiyou and the ancestral mountain of Miao Yao, so Fanjiadong adds another scene to the Big Bear Mountain Forest Park.

Daxiongshan National Forest Park, the hometown of Chiyou, is located in the north of Xinhua County, with a total area of 8 100 hectares and a planned tourist area of 2,475 hectares. It is divided into four scenic spots: Chiyou Valley, Chunji Gorge, Xiong Feng and Chuanyanjiang.
