Aerial photography: the best pastime during flight
?——A little experience of travel photography (4)
(This set of blog posts about photography, ten years ago Started writing, now reposting it in "", as a collection, I will treasure it for myself)
The "aerial photography" mentioned here is not in the professional sense, just to play with the camera during the flight. During the long journey by plane (including the long wait at the airport), playing with the camera you carry is a good way to spend time. Every time you board a plane and enter the cabin, the first thing that catches your eye is those beautiful and polite flight attendants.
In November 2006, I took a flight from Shenzhen to Beijing. During the flight, I saw this beautiful Shenzhen Airlines stewardess, whose service was very warm and thoughtful, so I secretly took these two photos of her at work.
It is said that among the flights in the world, the cabin attendants of Chinese flights are the youngest and most beautiful, which has become a great viewing pleasure for foreign tourists when taking Chinese flights. At foreign airports, many of the cabin attendants I see already belong to the "flight nanny" or "flight aunt" level. This feature on China’s flights may be able to fully demonstrate the advantages of our huge country’s rich “human resources”.
In the summer of 2007, I took a China Southern Airlines flight to and from Japan. The entire flight lasted more than 6 hours, and most of it was flying over the vast sea.
The most eye-catching flight attendant in the cabin. As I approached, I could see that the four-letter name on the badge was a Japanese flight attendant recruited by China Southern Airlines.
During the entire voyage, I saw her busy up and down, serving tea and water, and was the most diligent person.
Once, while taking a Hainan Airlines flight, I took two photos of stewardesses at work. When the flight attendant found out, she asked the flight attendant to come over and tell me that she was not allowed to take photos during work and insisted that I delete the photos.
As for the work of Brother Paikong, there will be no interference. I feel that these rules of HNA are not very "friendly".
Waiting at the airport is also a very annoying thing. In order to ensure on-time boarding, it is generally necessary to arrive two hours in advance. It is also common for planes to be delayed by one or two hours before departure. I had no choice but to pass the time at the airport watching planes take off and land. This is inside Terminal 2 of the Capital Airport, looking at the newly built Terminal 3 where planes are taking off and landing.
Finally, our plane entered the takeoff runway from the tarmac. The flight attendant came over and asked me to turn off the camera, and the plane started to accelerate and take off.
Another time, I took a China Southern Airlines flight from Shenzhen to Haikou. The plane landed at Haikou Meilan Airport and continued to descend to a height of only a few hundred meters above the ground. The runway of the airport and the surrounding houses were clearly visible. Suddenly, the plane raised its altitude and circled in the sky. It broadcast a notice that there was a thunderstorm over the airport and it was temporarily closed. The plane flew to Sanya Airport to make an alternate landing. More than 20 minutes later, we landed at Sanya Airport.
All passengers could only endure the summer heat and stay in the cabin with the air conditioning turned off. More than an hour later, the plane refueled and took off again.
Sanya Airport is a very small airport with no special scenery. The best compensation for this flight delay is that we have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sanya's sea, beaches, coconut groves and city from the air.
For the subsequent return trip, I took the 13:45 Hainan Airlines flight from Haikou to Shenzhen. We hurried to the airport, only to be told that the flight would be delayed until after 17:00, so we had to stay at the airport for a whole afternoon.
At 17:30, the delayed flight took off from Haikou Meilan Airport.
The plane is about to fly over the Qiongzhou Strait.
The Qiongzhou Strait seen from the air is very spectacular.
The sandbar seen above the strait and the cross-sea ferries carrying trains and cars.
More than 30 years ago, I took small-tonnage ferries to and from the Qiongzhou Strait many times, enduring the turbulence of wind and waves. If the wind and waves are a little bit stronger, it will make people vomit out gall and water. That painful memory is unforgettable. Today, I sit in the comfortable cabin, above the strait, sipping coffee and calmly watching the blue sea, the vast sky, and the floating white clouds!
Soon, the plane arrived at Shenzhen Baoan Airport.
This is a relatively ideal set of photos taken on a plane from Guangzhou to Yinchuan in late May last year.
? At Guangzhou Airport, I took off in the heavy rain and soon saw the clear sky.
The plane stopped in Xi'an and saw the Qinling Mountains after taking off again.
After checking Google Maps, the river photographed at this location should be the Jinghe River.
Saw the Loess Plateau.
After the high loess slope, the desert of sand dunes appears. With the vast and majestic scenery, we enjoyed the northwest style.
What you see is a piece of rolling yellow sand and vast sand dunes
Flying over the desert, approaching Yinchuan.
I began to see the oasis "on the south of the Yangtze River".
Exit Yinchuan Airport and complete the flight to the northwest.
This set of photos was taken ideally, and the opportunity is something that can only happen by chance. There are factors of good luck: first, the weather is good, the air is transparent, and the visibility is high; second, flying from Xi'an In Yinchuan, it is from 4:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon. The sun is in the west and the light is slanting, which is very suitable for shooting. Third, the sitting position is right at the back of the cabin by the window, which is convenient for shooting.
