DY-I guide service robot is the first generation intelligent guide robot introduced by Haier-Harbin Institute of Technology Robotics. The robot consists of servo drive system, multi-sensor information obstacle avoidance and path planning system, and speech recognition and speech synthesis system. The guide robot is powered by battery, which can run continuously for four hours, can walk autonomously in certain environment, and can recognize whether the obstacle is a person or a roadblock, and send out different reactions. When encountering a person, the robot will say, "Hello! Welcome to the robot world. " Visitors can have a simple conversation with robots through the speech recognition system. This kind of robot can be used in science and technology museums, shops and tourist places for tour guide service. The first generation tour guide robot has been working in China Science and Technology Museum for more than one year. The second generation tour guide robot developed by the company has added multimedia functions, and has the skills of automatic query and scene explanation.
