Where is the hometown of loquat?

Shexian County, Huangshan City (formerly Huizhou) is the hometown of loquat in China. The "Santan loquat" in Shexian County is produced in Zhangtan, Miantan and Luoyu Lake in Shexian County along the Xin 'an River, hence the name "Santan loquat".

The loquat in Zhangtan, Shexian County was recorded in Xin 'an Annals written by Luo Yuan, a Huizhou native in the Song Dynasty. The improved loquat varieties include: Dahongpao, Glory, Chaobao, Flat Kernel, White Flower, Yellow robe, etc. Among them, the best one is white flower (white pulp).
