Basic survey of Siding Mountain

Siding Mountain is 25 kilometers south of Feidong County, Hefei City, on the north bank of Chaohu Lake. Altitude174m. This mountain is named because it has four peaks. It is also said that Wei Boyang, an ancient fairy, cast an alchemist here, so it is also called Siding Mountain. In the Tang Dynasty, a temple was built, followed by Zhao Xia Academy, which was later destroyed. Siding Mountain has a "four sunrises" landscape. There are caves, rocks and sunrises on the mountain. There are caves and rocks and "an alchemy pool" on the mountain. The pool is on the west peak, about 20m long from north to south, 1 5m wide from east to west and1m deep. Mountain springs are inexhaustible all year round and crystal clear. The "Fairy Cave" is 3m long,1.4m wide and 2m high, and can accommodate several people. "Boyang Well", also known as "Shu Jing", is also located in Xifeng, with bottomless water and sweet taste. There are also natural landscapes such as "parrot watching the sky" stone, "old clam with pearls" stone, "chessboard" stone, "lone fish stone" stone, "Diaoyutai" and "Heaven will guard the door".

The beauty of the morning glow is the most. According to legend, Wei Boyang was an alchemist here in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the vermilion and fairy powder left at the foot of the mountain reflected the morning glow and radiated extraordinary splendour. Four sunrises have been listed as one of the "Eight Scenes of Luyang" and "Eight Scenes of Chaohu Lake". Temple top mountain has an alchemist pool, Zhao Xia Temple, Zhao Xia Academy, Dilujing and other places of interest. There are frog stone, parrot stone, Diaoyutai stone and Dutang stone. The four scenic spots have always been admired by literati, and Luo Yin and Li Tianfu both left hymns. Siding Mountain has many scenery and poems. There are also many celebrities around. The National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) Chairman Wu Bangguo, revolutionary martyr Cai Yongxiang and Taiwanese star Wu Jingxian were all born here.

In order to develop the tourism resources of Siding Mountain scientifically and reasonably, the people's government of Feidong County, Hefei Tourism Bureau and Hefei Planning Bureau jointly compiled the master plan of Siding Mountain lakeside tourist area by means of national bidding. After bidding, bid evaluation, calibration, evaluation and modification, the overall planning of Sidingshan lakeside tourist area has been successfully completed. With a total area of 9. 1 km2 and a perimeter of14.7km, the planning area is characterized by "lakeside landscape, leisure vacation, paradise for human settlement, amusement park, health park and conference business", and efforts are made to build an important lakeside tourism and leisure resort in China. According to the natural spatial characteristics of Siding Mountain, Teapot Mountain and Lakeside Line, the spatial layout of the resort is divided into "three zones" (southern zone, northern zone, central zone and lakeside zone), and the tourism functional zone is divided into eight functional zones with 19 nodes. The planning adheres to Scientific Outlook on Development, with special emphasis on the coordination between regional tourism diffusion and residents' interests, and the coordination between tourism development and environmental protection.
