Basic information of Jiufeng Mountain in Baotou

Jiufeng Mountain is located in the north of Tumochuan Plain, overlooking the Yellow River. There are many cliffs, waterfalls and deep trees where people can enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. In recent years, Tuyou Banner in Baotou City has vigorously built Jiufeng Mountain Scenic Area, which was a little-known scenic spot hidden in the mountains a few years ago and has now become a good place for tourists from surrounding cities. Jiufeng Mountain is 60 kilometers away from Baotou and 80 kilometers away from Hohhot, and borders beijing-baotou railway and National Highway 1 10 in the south. Named after nine towering peaks, it is the most wonderful tourist attraction in Daqing Mountain. It consists of peaks in East Jiu Feng, West Jiu Feng, Daxiliang, Ganlinbei and Yangbeishan, and gullies in Meidaigou, Shuijiangou and Xiangguipu. Its main peak-the first Jiu Feng, known as "Little Mount Tai", is 2338 meters above sea level. The scenic spot has beautiful scenery, long peaks, criss-crossing gullies, gurgling springs and continuous ditch water all year round.

There are a large number of national protected plant species here, such as Tilia amurensis, Quercus liaotungensis forest, Betula platyphylla, Corylus heterophylla, Pinus tabulaeformis and Zizyphus jujuba bushes, as well as Spiraea and Prunus mongolica bushes which are rare in North China. In addition to forests, there are other plants 19 species, including 389 Chinese herbal medicines, forming a wide variety of wild vegetation areas in East Asia, mainly broad-leaved forests. There are 34 species of terrestrial vertebrates/kloc-0 in Jiufeng Mountain area. There are two kinds of mammals, Qingyang and Snow Leopard, and roe deer, which belong to the national second-class protected animals. Fur animals include ferrets, red foxes, weasels, ocelots, badgers and chipmunks. Birds 13 species, including falcons, golden eagles, mad birds, etc., belong to the national second-class protection; Insect 132 species, with high economic and ecological value. Therefore, passive botanists in Jiufeng Mountain call it "virgin forest island".
