According to official website of China Travel Agency Association, china tourism association is a national comprehensive tourism industry association composed of China tourism industry-related organizations, enterprises and institutions on the basis of equality and voluntariness, with independent legal person status. It was/kloc-0, the first tourism industry-wide organization officially announced in the State Council on October 30th, 1986, and was re-registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on March 24th, 1999. The Association accepts the leadership of the National Tourism Administration and the operational guidance, supervision and management of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
