Urumqi is the farthest inland city from the sea in the world and the geographical center of the Asian continent.

The closest to Urumqi should be the South China Sea, such as Hainan and Beihai. There is also the East China Sea, like Qingdao.

Personally recommend going to Hainan. The sea in Hainan is also very beautiful. As for air tickets, we went there during the peak tourist season last year. The discounted air tickets cost nearly 4,000 round-trip per person. If we are lucky, it can be even lower. But in this season, there is no more economical and affordable way.

When going to Hainan, the price of some sea view rooms, including 3-star rooms, is 280 yuan per day in peak season.
