The Cambridge University Examination Committee in the UK began to reform the BEC examination in 1999, and the new version of the BEC examination will be adopted from May 2002. The Business English Certificate (BEC) is jointly organized by China and the UK. The Cambridge University Examinations Committee is responsible for setting questions, marking papers, and issuing certificates. The Examination Center of the Ministry of Education of China is responsible for registration, printing test papers and organizing examinations.
