Canceling provincial boundary toll stations does not mean canceling tolls.

The promotion of ETC is actually to achieve the goal of "basically abolition of national highway and provincial toll stations within two years" proposed in the "Implementation Plan" this year. However, eliminating toll stations at provincial boundaries is not a way to eliminate tolls, but a way to make roads smoother.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport selected Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, and Chongqing as pilot projects and canceled 15 provincial toll stations.
