Houtian desert eco-tourism scenic spot is a national AAA-level tourist scenic spot.

Houtian Desert is located in Houtian Township, Xinjian County, Jiangxi Province, 30 kilometers away from Nanchang City, covering an area of about 280 hectares. This undulating sand dune is the alluvial deposit of the original Ganjiang River. Because the Ganjiang River was cut off, the banks of the river rose. Under the influence of the endless monsoon, the desert landscape has finally formed. There is a crescent-shaped lake on the southeast edge of the desert, and there is a well-preserved primitive plant community under the protection of sand dunes, where many kinds of birds and small animals live.

Moon Island: Moon Island is a quasi-moon-shaped island in the middle reaches of Ganjiang River. The Ganjiang River flows here and meets the Jinjiang River, and the formed Jiangwan closely surrounds the Moon Island, which is the origin of the name of our Moon Bay scenic spot. Looking at the Moon Island from a height, we may feel that the area is not very large. In fact, it has more than 600 acres of land in Fiona Fang. When we stand in the middle of the island, stepping on the green carpet-like grassland and enjoying the natural pasture of "the sky is grey and wild, the wind blows the grass and the cattle and sheep are low", we can't help but feel immersed in poetry. Friends who like riding horses can also rent a good horse on the island and enjoy horse racing on the grassland.

"Taihezhai" Animal Entertainment Center: The center was built during the Golden Week in 2003 1/month, and has received more than 10,000 Chinese and foreign tourists1month since its opening. The center is mainly engaged in famous dog exhibitions, dog fighting performances, running dogs and other projects. The famous dog exhibition area brings together hundreds of domestic and foreign purebred famous ornamental dogs. Dog fighting originated from the animal fighting performance in ancient Rome and is very popular in Southeast Asia and Macao Special Administrative Region. Two strong fighting dogs are fighting each other, which embodies a spirit of going forward bravely and always striving for the first place. In the Macao Special Administrative Region, running dogs are very popular. The purpose of launching this project in the scenic spot is to let everyone enjoy the fun of running dogs in Macao without crossing the ocean.

Shaquan sanatorium: Shaquan is a natural spring in the scenic area, which is a trickle all the year round, clear and sweet. There is a dense virgin forest behind the sand spring. These ancient trees have experienced thousands of years of wind and rain, recording the changes of thick fields from oases with abundant water plants to barren and depressed deserts. Shaquan water has nurtured nearby villagers for generations, living and farming on it. Legend has it that this is the fountain that Dragon Prince gave to Houtian people in order to reduce the harm caused by Kowloon Son to local people. Sand spring is warm in winter and cool in summer. It contains many minerals that are beneficial to human health.

Youth outdoor activity base: completed in early 2004. The base covers an area of 4,000 square meters and has more than ten outdoor activities such as beach football, beach volleyball and fun bridge, tower dropping, tug-of-war, yue longmen, back platform, escape wall, navigation model and aviation model. Picnic barbecue park and outdoor camping area have the ability to receive teams of more than 500 people at the same time.

Western Style Leisure Park: Western Style Leisure Park is jointly built by Houtian Desert Eco-tourism Scenic Area and Ningxia Tourism Association. Visitors can enjoy western folk performances in Mongolian tent camps and taste authentic roast whole sheep. Join the camel and horse team, so that you can enjoy the desert customs in the west while you are in the south of the Yangtze River.
