This paper summarizes the basic characteristics of tourism resources in East China tourist areas and illustrates them with examples.

Generally speaking, East China tourist areas include Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces and one city. Its tourism resources have the following basic characteristics:

A. there are many famous mountains. Such as Huangshan, Lushan, Putuo, Yandang, Jiuhua, Jinggangshan, Sanqingshan, Longhu, Tianzhu and Moganshan.

B.the water features are beautiful. Such as Fuchunjiang, nanxi river, Poyang Lake, Taihu Lake, West Lake, Lushan Waterfall, Shengsi Islands and Huangshan Hot Springs.

C. a famous city and a beautiful garden. Shanghai is a prosperous international metropolis, and many gardens in Suzhou are unique.

D. Culture is ancient and unique. Hemudu culture and Liangzhu culture bear the course of civilization.

E. rich local products. Hangzhou Longjing Tea, Suzhou Biluochun Tea, Jingdezhen Porcelain, Yixing Zisha Pottery, Suzhou Embroidery, Yunjin, Jin Song, Du Jinshengjin, Huimo Lake Pen, Qingtian Stone Carving, Dongyang Wood Carving, etc.
