After the reign of Emperor Wenzong, Wu Zong succeeded to the throne and launched a movement to destroy the Buddha, which is known in history as "it is difficult to learn from Huichang". At that time, Buddhism was destroyed in an unprecedented way, while Zen master Zong Hui was unharmed. After Xuanzong succeeded to the throne, the law was difficult, and I saw my father invited me many times before I left the mountain, but from then on, my clothes were not easy and my temples were not shaved.
in 867 ad, Zen master zong hui had a premonition that real time was coming, and suddenly he called all the people to tell him: please tell me what I can do! And for the monk's vulgar saying: you should stop saying goodbye to the old man! The ice flowers in the flame are blossoming red, and the frozen bamboo shoots in the furnace are naked. Disciple asked for another life. The last words of Zen master: Leaves must fall in autumn, but flowers will bloom in spring. Then sit down. After the death, the body was not bad, and Tang Xizong built a tower to worship it. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong gave Shaoxing a "Miaoming Tower" for five years.
