Where should Suzhou and Hangzhou travel?
The way to Tongli is to go north after the train station leaves the station. There is a bus stop (the first and last stop of Pingsi Road) about 100 meters west of an iron bridge, and there is a small house next to it to sell tickets to Tongli and Zhouzhuang. If you don't want to bother, you can also buy tickets for Tongli Ancient Town directly there. Note that if you decide to spend the night in Tongli, you must tell the conductor when you buy the ticket, and she will print the date on the ticket face to prove that your ticket has not expired. The air-conditioned bus goes directly, and the time is about forty minutes. After getting off the bus and leaving the station, turn right for 400 meters and you will see the archway of Tongli Ancient Town.
The second is the garden. Suzhou occupies two of China's four famous gardens (Humble Administrator's Garden and Lingering Garden). But to be honest, if Suzhou gardens are not professionals, but tourists (such as me) who don't have a deep understanding of classical literature and architecture, their feelings should be similar. Among these gardens, the ticket for Humble Administrator's Garden is 70 yuan, and the off-season is 50 yuan if winter vacation comes. It is the largest private garden in Suzhou, which is relatively luxurious; There are distinctive Taihu rocks and bonsai in the park, and the environment is also beautiful; Lion Forest is next to Humble Administrator's Garden and is famous for its rockery. The huge rockery inside can be used as a maze, which is suitable for couples to play in. Canglang Pavilion is adjacent to Netscape Garden. These two gardens are relatively small and there are few people at ordinary times, so they can be used as resting places. When you are helpless in the face of the bustling traffic on the streets of Suzhou, you can walk into the garden, into a pure land, temporarily avoid the noise of the world and enjoy the precious quiet moments of modern people. Besides, Suzhou Museum, which is located next to Humble Administrator's Garden, is the masterpiece of architect I.M. Pei. It's free and worth visiting.
Admission: Lingering Garden 40, Lion Forest 30, Canglang Pavilion 20, Netscape Garden 20. As you plan to come in the winter vacation, which belongs to the off-season of tourism, the tickets here will definitely be cheaper.
There is a special place in the garden: Tiger Hill. Located in the northwest of Suzhou, it is a hill with distinctive features. Off-season ticket to 40 yuan. You can have a look. There are many cultural relics in it.
Mode of travel: Suzhou Museum (Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Forest). After leaving the station, there are no.5 buses to the square in front of the station. There are many cars at the first and last stations of Canglang Pavilion and Pingsi Road. Take bus 102, get off at Sanyuanfang Station and walk for a while. Tiger Hill: There are no stops in the square in front of the railway station, such as Tour 1 and Tour 2.
Finally, some old streets. The ancient city of Suzhou is well preserved. Coming out of Tiger Hill, Shantang Street is in the southeast. During the day, many people still live by the river, washing clothes and washing rice in the river, which is very amorous. There are also many folk snacks and special handicrafts. I suggest you try Begonia Cake, Plum Blossom Cake and Fried Stinky Tofu. At night, the sight of all the lights on, the pingtan and songs floating from time to time, absolutely touched you deeply. This is a very good old street, with a total length of 7 miles. From Shilu Commercial Street to Tiger Hill, you can walk there if you are interested.
Take a tour from the railway station, get off at Xiangmen Station and walk back about 500 meters. There is an ancient street "Pingjiang Road" in the north of the road, which is the best preserved ancient street in Suzhou, and almost completely replicates the shape of Suzhou City in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The bridges and wells inside are basically historical sites, even the products of the Song Dynasty. See if you are interested in finding them! There is a candy store "Taoye Store" on the street. The double skin milk inside is a delicious dessert, and there are many other dessert snacks, which are a good place for girls!
Suzhou Guanqian Street is one of the top ten commercial streets in China. It is not the most complete or the cheapest, but it is indeed a very distinctive commercial street. There are no tall buildings there, but the tallest one is six stories. It's basically an antique shop, which is full of trendy clothes and has a sense of contrast. You can look at Suzhou specialties such as silk in it. As for the snacks in Guanqian Street, the grilled squid in front of Starbucks is recommended, while others are average. The snacks in Guanqian Street are more expensive. Shilu commercial street is another style, very prosperous, similar to the commercial street in general big cities. If you want to go shopping, you can consider going there.
Mode of travel: Shantang Street: Take bus No.5 at the railway station (west), get off at Shantang Street Station and get off the bridge. Pingjiang Road: You get off at Wuqimen Station and walk 500 meters north. Guanqian Street: Take No.5 "East Guanqian Street of Vinegar Square Bridge" and get off.
There are many famous snacks in Suzhou, such as Zhu Hongxing's pasta and Luyang's wonton. However, these celebrities now seem to be unworthy of the name, at least I personally feel very general. The suggestions are as follows:
Dumb bomb, swim to the No.5 "East District of Municipal Hospital" station (that's the name of the station), get off and walk for 50 meters. Features: fried buns are tender inside and tender outside. It's cheap and delicious, especially the juice inside is very fragrant. Other beef vermicelli soups are also good. There is curry powder in them, and the taste is very unique. Everyone spends about 10 yuan.
There are many branches in Hayes Youlong, fried dumpling shop and Suzhou, featuring spicy fried dumpling, which is delicious. But because it is a chain store, it can't be regarded as a feature. Per capita consumption is about 15 yuan.
Houzhuang snack street. Take a taxi to Houzhuang, where there is a snack street. Because it is a college student apartment nearby, you can imagine the scene there. There are many delicious foods in different places: Northeast Bacon Cake, Dalian Squid, Wuhan Regan Noodles Duck Neck, Fujian Pickled Fish, and of course Suzhou Plum Blossom Cake and other snacks. Of course, the atmosphere here is not suitable for couples to visit, but it is very affordable and delicious. By the way, be careful when you go. Don't withdraw money from your wallet often, you'd better prepare the change in advance. Feed the thief without a few dollars. There are also many student-oriented restaurants in Zhuangxianwan Road nearby, but the environment is generally affordable and the taste is very good.
If you want to go to a better place, Phoenix Street is a good choice. This is the food street in Suzhou. Roadside shops are medium-sized restaurants with moderate prices, and the per capita consumption is about 30% to 40%. If you want to eat authentic Su cuisine, you should go to the eunuch parallel to Guanqian Street. There are many time-honored brands, such as Songhe Tower, Deyue Tower and Wang Si Restaurant, which are all good, but the prices are a little expensive. Plan for your wallet or go less.
If you stay, there are many hotels near Guanqian Street, and the standard room is usually 120 a night. Although the scale is relatively small, it is very clean. There is a youth hostel on Pingjiang Road, which should be cheaper, but the environment is a little worse. Want to live better, there is a home like home on the west side of Guanqian Street, which is clean, warm and feels like home. Ordinary room 2 10 for one night. Accommodation in the ancient town is basically 100- 140 yuan for one night. The environment is naturally not as good as that in the urban area, but looking at the water by the window has a special flavor.
In addition, I would like to remind you that Suzhou is rainy in winter, so you must take an umbrella when traveling, and then don't trust the temperature forecast in the weather forecast. In fact, the somatosensory temperature will be colder than predicted. I suggest putting on more clothes. The starting price of Suzhou taxis is 1 3km in 0 yuan, followed by 1.8 yuan or 2 yuan1km. General city bus 1 yuan or 2 yuan, air-conditioned car fare increase 1 yuan.
The above is the basic introduction of Suzhou tourism. But this is all my own experience! You can ask me again if you don't understand. Have fun!
