Xixia city

Xixia City, formerly known as "Heng Castle", is located in lingwu city on the east bank of the Yellow River, near Yinchuan Yellow River Bridge, only 8 kilometers away from Yinchuan. Originally a garrison camp in the Ming Dynasty, it was the former site of "the ancient capital of Hengcheng", one of the eight scenic spots in the East in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has a history of more than 500 years. According to historical records, it was here that Emperor Kangxi personally signed Gerdan to cross the river.

Visit Xixia Imperial City, enjoy Xixia music and dance, enjoy Xixia banquet and watch the sunset of the Yellow River. Outside the city wall, it is still the scene of modern civilization. Located in Xixia District, Yinchuan City. Classic films such as Shepherd, Red Sorghum, A Chinese Odyssey, Grave of Thorns, Royal Guards and more than 100 influential films have all been shot in this quaint, rugged and desolate cinema. Shapotou

Shapotou, located in zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is a famous desert ecological management and tourist destination. Chinese national geography named Shapotou, Ningxia as the most beautiful place in China. Shapotou Tourist Area in Zhongwei, Ningxia is a tourist area with unique scenery. In the past, Shapotou was famous for its achievements in sand control. Baotou-lanzhou railway crossed the desert in Zhongwei six times, of which Shapotou had the steepest slope and the most violent sandstorm. In order to ensure the smooth flow of the railway and avoid the tracks being buried by sand, since the 1950s, wind-proof and sand-fixing projects have been built on both sides of the railway. This project is a success. The grass squares on both sides of the railway are covered with psammophytes, and the golden sand sea has turned into green waves. Baotou-lanzhou railway desert has been safe for decades. This sand control achievement has attracted worldwide attention, and many foreign sand control experts have come here to inspect. Hu Sha Tourist Area is located in Xidatan, Pingluo County, 56 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan City. It is the first batch of 5A scenic spots in China and one of the 35 ace scenic spots in China.

Shuidonggou tourist area

Shuidonggou site, also known as Shuidonggou site, is the earliest paleolithic site excavated in China. Known as "the birthplace of prehistoric archaeology in China". Shuidonggou is also a grand view garden of China's Ming Dynasty Great Wall, castles, Tibetan soldiers caves, Grand Canyon and other military defense buildings. At present, it is the only three-dimensional military defense system of the Great Wall with the best preservation in China. Some of these scenic spots, such as Tibetan soldiers cave, need to buy a package of scenic spots to visit, or buy tickets for a single scenic spot. There are two entrances to the scenic spot: the south gate and the east gate. The south gate is the main entrance of the scenic spot. Ordinary tourists enter the scenic spot from the south gate and visit the east gate clockwise. There is sightseeing bus between the two gates, and the ticket is only included in the package. If you buy big tickets for scenic spots, you need to pay extra for sightseeing bus.

When visitors enter the scenic spot, the first thing they see is the Ruins Museum, which is the only theme museum in northwest China that displays the cultural features of the Paleolithic Age. Using high-tech technologies such as sound, light and electricity, the museum truly reproduces the happy fishing and hunting life of ancient people and the production scenes of stone tools made 30 thousand years ago, as well as shocking disaster scenes such as floods and landslides.

After that, you can visit Zhangsan Xiaodian, No.1 and No.2 excavation sites. Xiaodian is the place where two Frenchmen stayed. It was these two Frenchmen who discovered the Shuidonggou site. Near the site, you can see the well-preserved Great Wall site of Ming Dynasty. You can also choose to ride a camel to Hongshan Lake and row a boat on the lake. Camel riding and boating are not included in the big ticket. If you buy a package, you don't need to pay extra.

Helan Mountain Scenic Area

"Driving a long car, breaking through the lack of Helan Mountain ..." Helan Mountain is famous all over the world because of Yue Fei's "Man Jiang Hong". Helan Mountain is the boundary mountain between Ningxia and Inner Mongolia, bordering Ningxia in the east and Alashan League in Inner Mongolia in the west. The eastern part of Helan Mountain is semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral area, and the western part is pure pastoral area.

In the eastern part of Helan Mountain (Ningxia part), there are rock paintings left by nomadic people thousands of years ago (Helan Mountain rock paintings); There is also a rare forest park (Suyukou National Forest Park) in the arid areas of northwest China. There are endless natural forests here, and it is also a good place to enjoy snow in winter. There are also the remains of Xixia Ancient Pagoda (the Twin Towers at Baisikou), the palace of Li Yuanhao, the founding emperor of Xixia (the bell-rolling mouth) and the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty (the Sanguankou).

Most tourists from other provinces and cities go to Yinchuan, the capital, and then set off from downtown Yinchuan to various scenic spots in Helan Mountain. Generally return to Yinchuan city for accommodation on the same day.

Hushafeng scenic spot

Husha Lake is the first batch of 5A scenic spots in China, one of the 35 ace scenic spots in China and one of the top ten charming leisure tourist lakes in China. Hu Sha Tourist Area is located in Xidatan, Pingluo County, Shizuishan City, 56 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan City. 1990 development and construction, receiving about 600,000 tourists every year, has become a famous tourist hotspot in the northwest of the motherland, and has been selected as one of the 35 ace scenic spots in China because of its unique and beautiful natural landscape. On May 8, 2007, Hushajing District of Shizuishan City was officially approved as a national 5A-level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.

Husha Lake, formerly known as Hongquwa, also known as Fish Lake, is an ancient river and lake, and also belongs to a lake in the desert. It is formed by the wind erosion of the underground water surface in the depression of the ancient Yellow River, the overflow and collection of groundwater, and then the recharge of atmospheric precipitation and surface water. Its characteristics are: the shape of the lake is controlled by the shape of the depression, which is irregular; The lake is deep, mostly 2-3 meters. Because the terrain around the lake is quite low, the groundwater level is shallow, and the soil salinization and shallow tillage are heavy.

During the irrigation period, drainage is more difficult because of poor drainage in the whole Yin Bei area, especially in the flood season, due to the jacking effect of the Yellow River water. At this time, Husha Lake can receive a large amount of irrigation backwater from the surrounding farmland. Therefore, Husha Lake can still play a certain role in irrigation, drainage and storage in this area.

Husha Lake and its surrounding marshland can be regarded as a large "flood detention area". Whenever a flash flood comes, it can intercept the flood and play the role of flood detention and water storage. Therefore, the harm of flood to downstream villages and towns and farmland can be alleviated or reduced.
