Lushan Scenic Area is located at the northern end of Luliang Mountain, in the hinterland of northwest Shanxi. It is a "Northern Primitive Landscape Scenic Area" with five national titles: National AAAA Scenic Area, Guancenshan National Forest Park, Luyashan National Nature Reserve, Wannian Ice Cave National Geopark and Fenhe Source National Water Conservancy Scenic Area.

Wannian Ice Cave was formed in Cenozoic Quaternary Glaciers, with a history of 3 million years. It is the largest ice cave found in China so far, and it is also a rare large ice cave found outside the frozen soil in the world so far.

If it is too early, you can visit the source of Fenhe River on your way back. The source of Fenhe River is the grateful mother river of Sanjin people. There is a pond at the source.
