How to get to Cyprus? What's the traffic like in Cyprus?

Cyprus is 80 kilometers north of Turkey, 0/04 kilometers east of Syria/KLOC, 530 kilometers west of Crete, Greece, and 439 kilometers south of Suez Canal. To Cyprus, you usually have to transit through Europe, and sometimes you have to stop at a transit point. The capital of Cyprus is Nicosia, but the most important city for travelers is Larnaca, because the air gateway of Cyprus is in Larnaca. Tourists who come to Cyprus by air first come here and then spread all over the country.

To enter Cyprus from the north, you can choose Turkish Airlines, and there are direct flights from Istanbul and other cities in Turkey to the eastern airport of Lefkosia. Or from the ports along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, there are also ships going directly to the ports in northern Cyprus.

There is no railway in Cyprus, and the traffic on the island only depends on cars, taxis or car rentals. Buses shuttle between cities, and the Tourism Bureau has a timetable. Every village has to stop, so the speed is very slow. The bus service in the city is 1 every 15-20 minutes. There are fewer trains between cities, and there will be a rest on Sundays.
