What are the fun attractions in Tongzhou District, Beijing?

Although Tongzhou’s economy may not be as good as other districts, today’s Tongzhou is full of vitality, and many trendy young people have settled here. I also stayed there for a year three years ago, and there are many in Tongzhou. Famous attractions with beautiful scenery are worth checking out. I have two treasure attractions to recommend: Universal Beijing Resort and Grand Canal Forest Park.

1. Universal Beijing Resort

Self-driving: There are two exits at the "Tianjiafu Station" of the Beijing-Harbin Expressway and the "Zhangjiawan North Station" of the Sixth Ring Road. You can drive by yourself or choose to take taxis, online car-hailing services, or tourist buses. Tourists on tour buses can choose to exit at this exit and enter Universal Beijing Resort. Universal Beijing Resort has three large parking areas that can accommodate tens of thousands of cars at the same time. Business Route:

South Gate: Take No. 910, No. 822, No. 13, No. 38 and get off at the South Gate Station of Grand Canal Forest Park. You can reach it by No. 9, No. 21, No. 22 or No. 38. Take No. 26, Tong 41, 938, 810, etc., get off at Wuxing Road Station and walk 500 meters;

Ximen: Take No. 822, T116, Tong 58 to the Grand Canal Forest Park Just get off at the station;

Self-driving route: Jingtong Express - along Batong Line to Beijing-Tianjin Highway (Jingtang Highway), pass in front of Zhangjiawan Industrial Park (Zhangjiawan Town Government Intersection) Go to the first intersection (direction to Lucheng) and turn left to Songliang Road, continue driving for 1000 meters and you will be on the right hand side

Hiking route:

The entire hiking route is an asphalt road, about 5 meters wide, with a relatively flat road surface, suitable for all types of people to hike. Power walking.

Mileage and coordinate signs are set up along the way, engraved with the nearest distance to the entrance and exit, to facilitate tourists to identify their location and amount of exercise, adding to the fun of fitness in the park.

The first route is located on the right bank of the park, starting from the north gate of the park and ending at the south gate of the park (you can choose to go to the Moon Island viewing platform on the way), with a total length of 6 kilometers;

The second line is located on the left bank of the park, starting from the entrance of the Sixth Ring Bridge and ending at the Left Bank Arch Bridge, with a total length of 5.7 kilometers.

Cycling greenway:

The 20-kilometer waterfront cycling avenue located on the left bank (on the side of the water transport terminal) connects dozens of leisure attractions. Motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited along the bicycle lanes, creating a safe and exclusive passage for cyclists. Cycling on this "canal greenway", breathing the fresh air of the forest oxygen bar, seeing beautiful scenery, and feeling instantly relaxed.

Flower-viewing route

1. To enjoy the flowers in the Grand Canal Forest Park, we first recommend you to come to the West Bank and choose the west gate of the main entrance to enter. There are endless landscapes of flowers on both sides of the road. There are also two ponds of different sizes in Chiyuzhijin, which are most suitable for walking tours. As soon as you enter the park, you will see a plant guide map of the park, telling you the flower viewing route, so you don’t take the wrong path~

2. When you are tired of walking, you can go to the park’s West 1st Gate, West 5th Gate, and West 5th Gate. Check out the latest "Grand Canal Forest Park Cultural and Creative Ice Cream" at the three Madiel sales offices in Liumen. Pick up the cultural and creative ice cream and take photos in the park, which is more ceremonial!

3. Wear After passing the playground area, turn left to Yuedao Scenic Area and turn right to Fengxing Reed Scenic Area. It is recommended that you check in at the observation deck on Tsukishima Island. Moon Island is a small island built during the course of the North Canal. It is surrounded by water and looks like a crescent moon, so it is named Moon Island. You can also see flowers such as forsythia, peach, and elm-leaf plum on the road.
