What are the customs in Zhangzhou?
First, the Spring Festival. In the old custom of Zhangzhou City, it is necessary to visit "Ye Gong Street" in the New Year (that is, a section of Nanchang Road near the North Bridge today, there were five palaces of Haicheng Gonghuang in the Qing Dynasty; "Yegong Street" changed places several times after 1930s. Its content is equivalent to the Spring Festival Temple Fair in the Central Plains. After liberation, except during the "Cultural Revolution", the government has specially set up healthy and beneficial entertainment programs for local organizations, instead of "Yegong Street" as a place for the masses to enjoy spring.
Second, the Lantern Festival. Lantern Festival is the end of the Spring Festival, and it is also the traditional Shangyuan Festival. Zhangzhou people call it "the first half of the first month" and Hakka people call it "Kaidazheng". On this day, there are many folk activities in Zhangdi, which are also very lively and grand. If the weather is fine during the Lantern Festival, it is said that it is good to check a certain (female) year old this year. People think that this year is beneficial to women. ?
3 "do ding". For families who got married or added men last year, I have to pay for a banquet in the ancestral temple and hire a troupe to perform, which is called "Ding Table" and "Ding Opera". Hakka then wrote the name of the boy born last year on a special paper lantern, sent it to the ancestral hall for hanging, and sent sesame oil to worship the ancestors and pray for shelter. This custom is suspected of being patriarchal and has long been abolished.
(4) See the bride. In the old custom, at midnight snack, the newly-married family should light a lamp in front of the door as a sign, commonly known as "chicken mother's birthday lamp". At the same time, decorated with lanterns, set up an altar to show their antique calligraphy and painting, open the door and let the bride stand in front of the square table in the hall with makeup. In some places, brides are required to wear bridal clothes and go to the ancestral hall to worship, so that villagers can evaluate them. In some places, colored lights are tied to the open space outside the ancestral temple, so that the bride can wear red flowers and aprons, hold sugar cane with leaves wrapped in red paper, and pass by in turn under the colored lights accompanied by her mother-in-law or mother. People can judge, pee and throw firecrackers under the colored lights.
Zhangzhou is a famous "land of plenty". Zhangzhou Plain, the largest plain in Fujian, is known as "Zou Lu on the seashore".
