The original ecological tourist scenic spot of Huangsha, the old capital of Huangsha, is a national AAAA tourist scenic spot, a national wetland park, the best ecological leisure tourist resort in China and one of the eight scenic spots in Ningxia in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Here, you can visit the ancient ferry crossing the Yellow River by Emperor Kangxi, and Zhaojun left the fortress to stay in the Moon Lake in the desert. Desert scenery, the ancient rhyme of the Yellow River, natural wetlands and the wonders beyond the Great Wall surrounded by yellow sand in scenic spots are good places for original ecological self-help tours. The ancient sheepskin raft, the primitive camel boat in the desert, the modern dragon boat in the Yellow River and the exciting surfing in the sand sea are the most interesting places in Ningxia, the display base of Tibetan mastiffs born in China and the folk customs in Ningxia.

The scenic spot is located in Crescent Lake, xingqing district, Yinchuan City, 52km away from Yinchuan City, 38km away from Yinchuan Hedong Airport and 66km away from Yinchuan Railway Station, with a planned area of 32.3km2. The whole scenic spot consists of six scenic spots: functional service area, Yellow River Wetland Park, Wangniang Pavilion, observation deck, Gudukou and Crescent Lake.

Introduction to the museum

Huangsha Old Capital Folk Museum is a comprehensive museum with the main contents of rescue, protection, collection and display of representative folk customs in northwest China and the Yellow River basin. Located in Huangsha Gudu Tourist Scenic Area, it covers an area of12000m2, including 2300m2 exhibition halls and 26 exhibition halls. The museum is divided into happy times, production, life, farm tools, stone tools, bronzes, lamps, wood carvings, craftsmen's manufacturing, shadow play, New Year pictures, paper-cutting, embroidery, clay sculpture, Mao culture and other exhibition halls.

The collection in the museum is rich in resources and distinctive in characteristics. The main collection includes all kinds of tools, farm tools and utensils that are common in the production and life of working people in the northwest region and the Yellow River valley, such as all kinds of wood products, furniture, means of transportation, tools made by craftsmen, household utensils and paper-cuts, New Year pictures, shadow puppets, picture books and so on. The most representative ones are the Stone Museum and the Lamps Museum.
