Will there be altitude sickness in Yunnan?

In a few places, altitude sickness is caused by the human body rapidly entering an altitude of more than 3000 meters.

Northern Yunnan is the southern extension of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with an altitude of about 3,000-4,000 meters. There are huge mountain systems such as Gaoligong Mountain, Nvshan Mountain and Yunling Mountain, and the Nujiang River, Lancang River and Jinsha River are staggered from north to south. The three rivers flow in parallel, with staggered valleys and steep terrain.

In the south is the Hengduan Mountains, which are below 3000 meters above sea level, mainly Ailao Mountain, Wuliang Mountain and Bangma Mountain. The terrain gradually drops to the south and southwest, and the valley gradually widens. On the southern and southwestern borders, the terrain is gradually gentle, the mountains are short, and there are many wide valley basins. The altitude is about 800 ~ 1000 meters, and it drops below 500 meters in some areas, mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical areas.
