What's interesting about Lingshan?

Lingshan, the "Lingshan Scenic Area", is located on the bank of Taihu Lake in Mashan, Wuxi, an excellent tourist city in China. It is the leading project of Wuxi Taihu Tourist Resort, one of the twelve national tourist resorts in China, a new hotspot of East China tourist routes and Taihu Golden tourist routes, and the first batch of AAAA-level scenic spots in China.

Lingshan scenic spot is composed of such scenic spots as Xiaoling Mountain, Xiangfu Temple and Lingshan Buddha, which can be simply summarized as one mountain, one temple and one Buddha.

One mountain is Xiaoling Mountain. Xiaoling Mountain faces Taihu Lake, and Qinglong Mountain and Baihu Mountain are divided into left and right sides. Building a temple and building a Buddha here, "there is a photo in front, a support in the back, and a hug on both sides", is really a land of feng shui.

The first temple is Xiangfu Temple, a thousand-year-old temple built in the Tang Dynasty.

One Buddha is the Lingshan Giant Buddha, which is 88 meters high and is called the "Oriental Giant Buddha" among the five Buddhas in China.

The construction of Lingshan Giant Buddha and lingshan scenic spot is a great event in the Buddhist circles of China in the past century. Zhao Puchu, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of the Chinese Buddhist Association, visited the site for many times and put forward the concept of "five parties and five buddhas".

The so-called "Five Buddhas" refer to Yungang Buddha in the north, Longmen Buddha in the Central Plains, Leshan Buddha in the west, Tiantan Buddha in Hong Kong in the south and Lingshan Buddha in the east.

In addition to one mountain, one temple and one Buddha, other scenic spots in Lingshan can be summarized as "five, four, three, two and one".

"Five" means five squares. They are Shengjing Square, Bergamot Square, Qian Dian Square, Xingtan Square and Foqian Square.

"Four" refers to the four firsts at the foot of the Lingshan Buddha, namely, the first wall in China, the first palm in the world, the first bell in the south of the Yangtze River and the first tripod in China.

"Three" refers to three strange trees, namely, Millennium Ginkgo, Three-wick incense and Cinnamomum camphora.

"Two" refers to two mythical ancient wells, namely the hexagonal well and the octagonal well.

"One" refers to a magical ancient pond, Bailianchi.

If all the above scenic spots are regarded as pearls, then Buddhist culture is the main line connecting these pearls in series. With this main line, these pearls can shine against each other and play a more effective role in setting off the Lingshan Buddha. From this perspective, it may be more enlightening to see every scenic spot in lingshan scenic spot. There are not only charming natural scenery, but also rich historical, cultural and artistic connotations and a very strong Buddhist atmosphere. The natural integration of three different atmospheres will undoubtedly provide more content for tourists and trigger more reverie.

No matter whether you are a Buddhist or not, whether you believe in Buddhism or not, no matter what kind of occupation you are engaged in, you will certainly gain something by visiting and enjoying Lingshan.
