Is it fun to go to Wuyuan in winter?
The beauty of Wuyuan is not only in the rape blossoms, but also in the quiet and simple Wuyuan in winter. The heavy makeup of Qingshan faded, and the solemn temperament was restored. The river flows slowly, the fog rising from the water covers the village, bathes in the warm sunshine, and the noise and troubles in the city disappear. From January to February every year, when the north is still frozen, you can already feel the breath of spring in Wuyuan. The grass has sprouted, and unknown small wildflowers are scattered on the roadside of the field. Rapeseed field is a large area of new green.
Wuyuan is one of the six counties in ancient Huizhou, and is known as the museum of ancient buildings. Huizhou's ancient buildings have been well preserved here, with white walls and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water, shady old trees and water leaning against the countryside, as if it were a faint picture scroll. Zhu Zu lived in Ziyang Ancient Street, Likeng surrounded by mountains, and Sixiyan Village, where Liaozhai is located, all of which are excellent places to watch ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

In the third year of Jiaqing, when Cao Zhenyong, a college student in Wuyingdian, returned to his hometown to worship his ancestors, he changed Hualian Opera Troupe founded by his father Cao into Qingsheng Opera Troupe and brought it back to Wuyuan. Since then, more than 20 Huizhou Opera Troupes have performed in Wuyuan.
