I plan to travel to Xinjiang. What's the climate like in Xinjiang?

Xinjiang is located in the center of the mainland, far from the ocean, surrounded by mountains and plateaus. It belongs to temperate extreme continental climate, with long and cold winters, hot and dry summers and short and drastic changes in spring and autumn. However, the north-south latitude of Xinjiang is about 15 degrees, and the terrain is quite different. There are warm, cold and temperate zones in the south and north of Xinjiang, and the difference between east and west is obvious. The same area has obvious vertical climate characteristics due to the difference of topography, which leads to the difference of natural landscape in Xinjiang.
