Jiuzhaigou is beautiful, but it is not recommended. The main reason is that the distance is too far, and there is no direct train to the full bus. Young people can come, but it is not recommended with the elderly and children. .

Travel experience

Jiuzhaigou Valley is located in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, which has 13 counties. To go to Jiuzhaigou Valley, you will pass through Wenchuan, Maoxian County, Songpan and finally reach Jiuzhaigou County.

Because in Tibetan areas, you will get in touch with Tibetan life on the way and learn more about the lives of Tibetan people.

In general, I have three feelings:

1. Very tired, really tired. The journey from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou takes 8 hours. The bus travels for 4 hours and takes a 20-minute break. Sitting in the bus for 4 hours is too uncomfortable.

2. The conditions here are really difficult. Due to climate temperature and other reasons, vegetables and fruits need to be transported from other places. The main local crops are highland barley and small potatoes.

In the scenic spot, I met an uncle who was carrying more than 180 kilograms of ham sausage up the mountain. It takes him 4 hours to walk 4 kilometers, and his income for this trip is only 100 yuan.

3. The country is great

The tour guide said that the road from Wenchuan to Jiuzhaigou was built three times. At the earliest time, one road was abandoned, and the second road was built but was completely destroyed during the earthquake. Now the third article has been revised.

I heard from people in Tibetan areas that they used to be nomadic, setting up tents wherever the yaks went. Now with tourism, they have settled down and can receive tourists to earn money and ensure their livelihood.

On a plateau with an altitude of 3,000 meters, any mountain is several hundred meters larger. It is a great thing to be able to provide electricity, connect the Internet, and ensure the transportation of materials.

My itinerary

It has been half a month since I came out, and I have been to Nanjing, Zhuhai, Macau, Hong Kong, Chongqing, and Chengdu. Here we only talk about the three-day trip from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou.

I signed up for a group tour for this trip. I was planning to go home after Dujiangyan. I saw a travel agency near Wuhou Temple and inquired about Jiuzhaigou. I thought I might as well go there once.

The project I signed up for is Jiuzhaigou Huanglong for three days and two nights. The fee is 380 per person and 760 per person, including scenic spot tickets, 6 meals, and a two-day hotel. Travel agency registration is very expensive, so consult with several more and then negotiate for a lower price. I signed up for a one-day tour of Dujiangyan, and the travel agency charged 100, but the receipt was 200.

The pitfalls

Since it is a group tour, shopping and product promotion are unavoidable. I signed up for a purely fun group, but I still encountered a few people bringing goods.

It takes 8 hours to go to Jiuzhaigou. If you drive a commercial vehicle for 4 hours, please pay attention to 20 minutes. The shops in the rest area are related to the tour guide and driver. Obviously you can rest in the county town, but you have to come to a special parking spot.

From the moment you sign up, your information has been leaked. When we gathered in the morning, there were people selling rain gear at the gathering point, deliberately exaggerating the weather changes on the mountain.

The on-board tour guide will also exaggerate the weather changes. For example, at the first rest point, he recommends that everyone buy down jackets, and says that the higher you go, the more expensive it becomes. My friend bought a 380, but when he went to a rest point later, he found that he only needed 360, and the quality was better.

As mentioned above, there are 6 meals, 3 of which are at Tibetan homes, which can be understood as farmhouse entertainment. During this period, some products will also be promoted.

Jiuzhaigou is more than 450 kilometers away from Chengdu. If you don’t sign up for a tour, you can only drive by yourself. If you sign up for a tour, you can’t avoid what I mentioned.

As for transportation, there is a highway in the Wenchuan section of Chengdu. There is only a national highway from Wenchuan to Jiuzhaigou. The national highway has only two lanes and is very narrow. There are mountains on one side and the Minjiang River on the other. There are many large trucks and buses on the road. If you drive by yourself, Comparatively tests the driver's ability.

And it can only be repaired when the weather is hot. When the weather is hot, it is the peak tourist season, and travel will be unilaterally restricted and the travel time will be extended. The conditions on the road are better in the off-season, but it is also the dry season, and many lakes have no water. So coming to Jiuzhaigou is a bit contradictory.

Summary

If you are an ordinary office worker, a three-day holiday is not enough. Five days is just right. However, holidays of more than five days on May 1st and National Day are the peak seasons, and the Spring Festival is the dry season.

If self-driving is not allowed for most people, I still suggest that it would be better to come here after the Chengdu-Lanzhou High-speed Railway is completed.
