Where is Gu Lei? Heaven/God knows

Gu Lei is a long and narrow peninsula on the east side of Dongshan Bay. Gu Lei Peninsula is located in Zhangpu County on the east side of Dongshan Bay at the southern tip of Fujian Province. It extends southward between Dongshan Bay and Fu Tou Bay, looks at the islands of Caiyu Group in the east, confronts Dongshan Peninsula in the west, and connects with Du Xun via Lincang and Xincuo in the north. Belongs to Zhangpu County. It is named after the waves hitting the stone like a drum and the sound like thunder. It is about 20 kilometers long, 0/~ 4 kilometers wide and covers an area of about 45 square kilometers. Originally an offshore island, it is a land-connected island formed by siltation of mud and sand, and is composed of Yanshanian granite. The terrain slopes from south to north. Terraces and hills dominate the south, with an altitude of about 50 meters, and the highest peak, Gulei Mountain, is 270 meters above sea level. There are aeolian landforms on the east coast, mostly sand dunes and ridges. The west bank is a marine plain and tidal flat, with agriculture, aquaculture and salt fields as the main areas. The fishing ground east of Cai Yu Group Island is rich in pomfret, shark and hairtail. There are fishing ports such as Xiawa. There is a highway connecting Zhang Yun Highway.

Gu Lei Peninsula is elongated, northeast and southwest, more than 20 kilometers long and 1 km wide. The narrowest place is only a few hundred meters wide. Located in the middle of the peninsula, Gulei Mountain is 270 meters above sea level. From the map, it looks like a big fish swimming on the water. The dorsal fin of Gulei Mountain is like a fish, and Gu Lei's head is like a fish. Taiwan Province Strait is in the east of the peninsula, Dongshan Island and Gu Lei Port are in the west, and the Pacific Ocean is in the south.

Gu Lei Port will build Zhangzhou Gu Lei Port Economic Zone, including Gulei Port and its rear Gulei Town, Xiamei Town, Du Xun Town, shaxi town, Caixia Forest Farm, Du Xun Salt Field, Zhangzhao, south of expressway and related sea areas. The total planned area is 278 square kilometers, including land area 130 square kilometers and sea area 148 square kilometers (including shallow beach area of 55 square kilometers). The existing population of the Economic Zone is 6,543,800+350,000. Gu Lei Port Economic Zone is located at the midpoint between Xiamen Special Zone and Shantou Special Zone, facing Taiwan Province Province across the sea, and has obvious advantages in geographical popularity and regional economic cooperation with Taiwan Province. The Economic Zone is 98 nautical miles away from Penghu, Taiwan, 77 nautical miles away from Xiamen, 72 nautical miles away from Shantou 138 km, 230 nautical miles away from Hong Kong 146 km. It has the advantages of connecting east and west, connecting north and south, and connecting rivers and oceans. The geographical position is very unique, and it is a convenient area to undertake industrial transfer in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Gu Lei Port Area is one of the few natural deep-water ports in China, with very precious and scarce deep-water coastline resources. The coastline is 4.8 kilometers long, and 20 berths of 6.5438+200,000 tons can be planned, including 9 berths of 6.5438+200,000 tons, 4 berths of 20,000 tons, 3 berths of 50,000 tons and 4 berths of 200,000 tons. Compared with other seven harbors in China that can be used to build deep-water berths with a tonnage of more than 200,000 tons, Gu Lei Port Area has the following characteristics: deep (the deepest water depth is -35 meters), wide (the channel width is more than 1 km, and no sedimentation has been observed for more than 20 years), stable (even if the wind reaches 6-77, the port area is calm, stable and appropriate because of the mountain cover in the east and north), and near. Using the natural coastline 1.5 km north of the 5000-ton building materials wharf, 3000-5000-ton berths can be planned as the planned coastline of the port auxiliary area.

It was reported that after the PX project in Xiamen was stopped, investors intended to move it to Gu Lei Port Economic Zone. This statement has been acquiesced by the Zhangzhou Municipal Committee at the press conference of the two sessions this year.
