Three-day travel guide to Hangzhou Three-day travel guide to Hangzhou
Hangzhou is a paradise-like city. Here you can experience the infinitely beautiful scenery of the West Lake, as well as various traditional delicacies and snacks, which are amazing. Here are the specific strategies to share with you.
The first stop is to recommend Hu Xueyan’s former residence to experience the living conditions of the richest people in the late Qing Dynasty. Whether it is the courtyard design or the exquisite materials used in the furniture, they are all worthy of our exploration, and it can also Wear Hanfu and take photos inside. It’s very beautiful. It’s recommended that you spend two hours there.
After Hu Xueyan’s Former Residence, we walked through our Drum Tower and along Qinghefang Street and Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street to feel the liveliness of our neighborhood and the historical splendor of Southern Song culture.
But there is nothing to buy in the neighborhood, because every city has a street like this, which is a tourist and commercial street. Let’s just join in the fun and check in.
On the other side of Hefang Street is the Hangzhou Museum. If you want to understand the culture of a city, the best way is to go to the city's museum. Of course, there are more than one museum in Hangzhou. We happened to pass by it on our route, so we took a look at it together. .
Having been shopping all morning, it’s time to eat. A few hundred meters away from Hefang Street is the West Lake. Then there are “Grandma’s House” and “New Bailu” beside the West Lake. “These restaurants where you can eat Hangzhou specialties have a nice environment, and the dishes inside are very economical and suitable for public consumption.
However, one thing to note is that these restaurants are packed with people as soon as meal time comes, so it is best to go at a different time to avoid queuing. Of course, these restaurants have all opened online queuing. You can take a number and queue up while shopping. When we arrive, you can go in to dine directly, which is very convenient.
After lunch, take a stroll by the West Lake in the afternoon. I recommend you a very beautiful park, which is also the most beautiful park in spring now, called The Orioles in the Willows. You can feel the budding willows and the blooming peach blossoms in the Orioles in the Willows. This corner of the cherry blossoms is a tourist experience, and there is also a scenic spot called Qianwang Temple in Liulang Wenying Park. Walk into Qianwang Temple and feel the prosperity of the southeast of our Sanwu City.
Qiantang has been prosperous since ancient times. Hangzhou served as the capital twice in history, the first time was the Wuyue Kingdom, and the second time was the Southern Song Dynasty. We went to our ancient city of the Southern Song Dynasty in the morning, and in the afternoon we went to the Qianwang Temple of Wuyue Kingdom. We completed the two capital check-ins in Hangzhou. After the Qianwang Temple, you can go back to our Hefang Street and climb our Wushan Mountain. From our Chenghuang Pavilion, you can look at the West Lake and Leifeng Pagoda, and have a panoramic view of the entire West Lake.
In those days, Xu Wenchang had a saying: "Eight hundred miles of lakes and mountains, you know what year it was painted, and hundreds of thousands of fireworks, all returned to the terraces here." After reading, there is no need to rush away, the most important thing about traveling is Leisure. Sitting on the fourth floor of our Chenghuang Pavilion, looking at Leifeng Pagoda from a distance and waiting for the sunset over Leifeng Peak, making a cup of refreshing Longjing tea, ordering West Lake lotus root powder and West Lake tea snacks, eating and watching, it is really very emotional.
After the sun sets, leaving the bustling urban area, we can come to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. You can take a bus to our Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District, where you will stay at night, because the lights there are bright at night. It is very beautiful, and the restaurants next to it are places where locals like to eat. Whether it is the courtyard restaurant or Xintingji, the taste is more affordable and more substantial than those in the scenic spot. At night you can enjoy the very beautiful lights on both sides of our Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. Standing under the Gongchen Bridge, you can have a panoramic view of the history and vicissitudes of the canal. You can also visit the Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District and our Xiaohezhi Street. The lights there give me a Jiangnan feeling.
Early the next morning, we went to the west of Hangzhou to see the Xixi Wetland. There is a green embankment in the Xixi Wetland, and the embankment is free of charge. Enter from the north gate and exit from the south gate, walk around and look around for an hour or two, eat mochi and try tofu pudding in Hezhu Street. And if you arrive during the season when the persimmons are ripe, the persimmons there are also particularly sweet. There are also quite a few bars and restaurants in Xixi Wetland, but the consumption is relatively high, so it is not recommended to spend money there.
After visiting Xixi Wetland, we happened to be close to the North Peak. We went directly to the North Peak from Xixi Road. It is not very high and it takes about half an hour to get to the top. At the foot of the mountain are Feilai Peak and Lingyin Temple. , inside Feilai Peak, the stone sculptures there are unique in China. You can see our Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties from the Five Dynasties, so after reading our Feilaifeng Stone Carvings, walk into Lingyin Temple, our thousand-year-old temple, and make the best wish in your heart.
For lunch, we recommend that you also come to Linyin Temple. Let’s have a special meal. A bowl of plain noodles that costs 20 yuan at Lingyin Temple. It’s big and affordable, and it tastes great. . After eating noodles in the temple, take the No. 7 bus from Lingyin Temple in the afternoon. Under the tomb of Yue, you can experience the thirty-year fame of the Yue King, the dust and earth, and the eight thousand miles of clouds and moons. Temple, curse Qin Hui inside, and pay homage to our great general. After the Yuewang Temple, you can pick up a bicycle or stroll along a very beautiful causeway in Hangzhou.
Yanggongdi is a special niche with particularly beautiful scenery. It is also a favorite place for locals in Hangzhou.
When you arrive at Yanggongdi, there is a scenic spot that you must go to. It is called Guozhuang, which is called the back of the West Lake.
Sit in Guozhuang and feel the romance of the West Lake, and listen to the beauty of the clear water and the strange beauty of the mountains in the sky and rain.
When you arrive at Guozhuang, don’t leave in a hurry. Sitting by the lake, the whole Guozhuang will regard the West Lake as its wallpaper. You can drink a cup of tea in the painting and quietly enjoy the afternoon sunshine.
After Guozhuang comes out, it is very close to the Botanical Garden. After the Botanical Garden passes through, there is our Qingzhiwu. It is a small bourgeois luxury and culture place. Go to Qingzhiwu to drink and chat.
If you still want to see the scenic spots again and are not tired enough, I recommend you to go to this place. You can go to the city center of Hangzhou called Qianjiang New Town.
Every Tuesday, every Friday, and every Saturday, there are three light shows at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30. The musical fountain is very spectacular, the performance is vivid, and the most important thing is free. Return to Qingzhiwu for accommodation in the evening.
The travel itinerary for the third day is quite different, because when you come to Hangzhou, you always want to do something different from others. You will feel a little tired after seeing the scenic spots and the humanities every day. On the morning of the third day, we walked around the botanical garden and experienced the most beautiful park in Hangzhou. During the flowering season, the flowers there are really full of flowers in spring and moonlight in autumn, and there is cool breeze in summer and snow in winter.
After the botanical garden, we took the bus to the zoo next to the West Lake in Hangzhou. We carried our beloved girlfriends on our backs and fed the giraffes. We teased the bears and looked at the tigers. It was such a tourist experience. I think it is also very fresh, because there is a relatively good scenic spot next to the zoo called Hupao Park. It is the place where Master Hongyi Li Shutong became a monk and the place where Jigong Living Buddha passed away. After experiencing our history and culture there, remember I took two empty mineral water bottles to get some Hupao Spring water, which is the best drinking water in Hangzhou.
After Hupao Park, we played for about 3 hours and had lunch. Where to eat for lunch? Don’t eat in the West Lake Scenic Area, which is a bit expensive. Take a bus in the direction of Qiantang River. Our area of ??Meijiawu in Hangzhou, Yunxi Bamboo Trail, is a beautiful place. You can take a bus and pass by the Qiantang River.
If you have the strength, you can ride a bicycle all the way to Meijiawu. The scenery along the way is very beautiful. It is a road along the river. The Qiantang River, Liuhe Pagoda and Qiantang River Bridge are all beautiful. All in sight.
When we arrive at Meijiawu, we can eat at the local farmhouses and eat some local Hangzhou dishes among the tea gardens, such as fried eggplant with sauce and fried screws with sauce, they are all very delicious. .
Then in the afternoon you can go to a small scenic spot called Yunxi Bamboo Path. The blur between the bamboo sea and the natural scenery, I think this is also very perfect.
The three-day itinerary is still relatively compact, but it is not very rushed, and it is relatively relaxed. Moreover, the tickets for these attractions are relatively cost-effective. There is a travel card in Hangzhou called the "Metropolitan Area Tourism Card". This card includes all the attractions we have visited in the past few days and only costs 99 yuan.
This card is valid for one year. After purchasing this card, you only need to activate it in your ID card. Every attraction, whether it is Yuewang Temple, Guozhuang, or the Botanical Garden Okay, be it the zoo or Hupao Park, you can just swipe your ID card and enter without having to buy a separate ticket. Isn’t it very economical?
