5. Dashimen Village, Shuangxi

Dashimen Village is located in Shuangxi Township, Shangyou County. The buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties are still preserved here. Most of the ancient residences are built against the mountains, with blue brick walls, painted buildings and carved eaves, which are particularly spectacular. The cobblestone paving and winding paths are very elegant. A ginkgo tree that is more than 600 years old is so tall that it takes five or six people to surround it and hug it. Although the tree trunk is rough and mottled, it is lush and majestic and has become the treasure of Dashimen Village.
