Han Wen Gong Temple: One of the Eight Scenes in Chaozhou

Han Wen Gong Temple is located at the foot of Bijia Mountain on the east bank of Hanjiang River in Chaozhou, which was built in memory of Han Yu. The original Han Temple was built in the second year of Chengping (AD 999), and Chen Yaozuo was sentenced by Chaozhou to build the "Li Hanbu Temple" in the main landlord wing of Confucius Temple at the foot of Jinshan. In the sixteenth year of Xichun in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 189), Ding Yunyuan, a military attache, thought that Han Gong often swam in Bijia Mountain on the east bank of the Han River and planted oak trees here, so he moved the Han Wengong Temple in Qili, south of the city to this site. According to local legend, the oak tree in front of the temple today was planted by Han Yu that year. Chaozhou people worshipped Han Yu, so much so that he became more interested in this oak tree planted by himself, and "Han Ci Oak" became one of the eight scenic spots in Chaozhou. Hanwengong Temple is surrounded by mountains and waters, with a quiet environment. Zhu Hui Sanmen Stone Workshop 1 is engraved with the words "Chinese Temple". Entering from the right door, on the right side of the tunnel behind the archway, a stele gallery of nearly 100 meters was built. From nearly 500 pieces of Mo Bao donated or inscribed by state leaders at all levels and famous painters at home and abroad, 404 pieces of carved stones are selected, which complement the ancient monuments in the temple.

Guangji Bridge, commonly known as Xiangzi Bridge, is located outside the East Gate Building of Chaozhou Ancient City. It was once praised by Mao Yisheng, a famous bridge expert, as "the earliest opening and closing bridge in the world". Built in the Song Dynasty, it was originally a pontoon bridge, which was connected by 86 giant ships and named "Ji Kang". In later dynasties, Taishou built piers and renamed them Dinggong Bridge and Jichuan Bridge. It was not until the Ming Dynasty that "Eighteen Shuttles and Twenty-four continents" were built and renamed "Guangji Bridge". Since then, in the second year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, two raw iron cows were added to the eighth pier of the west bridge and the east bridge 12 pier of Guangji Bridge.
