Shigu Town of Lijiang is located in the west of Lijiang County, Yunnan Province, 28 kilometers away from the county seat, at the intersection of Jinsha River and Chongjiang River.

Jinsha River floats down from Blue Mountain like a gently swaying ribbon. History of Shigu Town

Stone drum, named after the drum-shaped stone brown carved by Mu Tusi in the twenty-seventh year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty.

In the Qing Dynasty, there was an agreement on the bridge head of Shigu, which was renamed Shiguli in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. 19 (193O) was renamed as Shigu Town, belonging to Jinjiang Township. 1949, after the liberation of Lijiang, it belongs to Jinjiang Branch and Shigu District.

1988 changed to Shigu Town, Renhe Lisu Township. Located in the west of Lijiang Naxi Autonomous County. In 2002, Shigu Town, Renhe Lisu Township were changed to Yulong Naxi Autonomous County. In 2005, Renhe Lisu Township was abolished and merged into Shigu Town.
