Intense rainfall continues to erode and peel off the sandstone mountains, eventually forming a beautiful scenery composed of 99 dangerous peaks.

On March 5, 2019, "Discovering Qingyuan" once organized a team to visit Shangping Village, Lianping County, Guangdong Province to view the ten-mile peach blossoms, and also visited the South Wudang Mountains. At that time, the ticket price for the South Wudang Mountain Scenic Area was only 15 yuan, which was the best value scenic spot the editor has ever visited. Two years later, on May 29, 2016, it was discovered that a group of four people from the Qingyuan team drove from Qingyuan city again, passing through Leguang Expressway, Shantou-Kunming Expressway and Daguang Expressway, in less than 3 hours Arrive at South Wudang Mountain.

We had lunch at a sister restaurant in Henggang Village at the foot of Wudang Mountain. The restaurant’s cabbage, steamed chicken, and sweet potato noodles were delicious and unforgettable. After lunch, take a short rest, pack up and set off. In the past two years, the South Wudang Mountain Scenic Area has invested hundreds of millions of yuan in expanding and renovating the scenic area, building glass planks and hanging corridors, and greatly extending the tourist routes. The tickets for the scenic area have also increased from 15 yuan two years ago to 90 yuan.

However, as we are determined to explore and discover, we have never taken the usual path, so we decided to go through it on foot. This choice is not to save a mere 90 yuan ticket, but to experience a different passion for exploration and discover different things. Same scenery.

We headed towards the scenic spot from Henggang Village in the south of Wudang Mountain. This is a deserted and dilapidated sand road that is very difficult to walk. If there is no one to guide you, it will be easy to get lost. It is recommended that friends buy tickets from the visitor center to enter the scenic spot, because on weekends, there will be scenic spot staff checking tickets.

The crossing route is sometimes wide and sometimes narrow. Some sections of the road were very muddy; some sections were covered with tall weeds, but fortunately it only took 50 minutes to go up the mountain.

After passing through a lush bamboo forest, we arrived at the foot of a cliff. Not long after, we crossed a railing and officially entered the stone-step plank road built in the scenic area.

Today is not a weekend, so there are very few people traveling to South Wudang Mountain. Walking on the lonely scenic plank road, it seems like there are only a few of us left in the world. This feeling is really special.

Soon we arrived at the Emerald Valley between Wudang Peak and the Five Girls Birthday Visitor Spot. The view here is relatively wide, and various stalagmite-shaped barrel-shaped peaks with strange shapes are coming towards us, which caught us off guard. The Five Women's Birthday Worship is the highlight of the South Wudang Mountains, where a large number of peaks of various shapes and shapes are gathered, all of which are strange, beautiful, dangerous and secluded.

Fly a drone here and look at the world from a high altitude. I saw several strange peaks nestled closely together in the clouds and mist, like a fairyland on earth. On the cliff with a drop of more than 300 meters, the newly built glass plank road is like a beautiful circular chain. I still remember that time last year, the Five Girls Birthday Scenic Area had not yet been developed, so we could only view it from a distance on the cliff of Wudang Peak but not climb up close.

Danxia landform, like karst landform, is a highly ornamental geological structure. In our country, many Danxia landforms have been developed into tourist attractions, such as Wuyi Mountain in Fujian, Yandang Mountain in Zhejiang, _ Mountain and Feitian Mountain in Hunan, Binggou Danxia in Gansu, Chishui Danxia in Guizhou and Danxia Mountain in Shaoguan, Guangdong that the editor has visited , are all typical Danxia landforms with great ornamental value.

The rock formations that make up the Danxia landform are marine sandy conglomerates. Years of water erosion and weathering have caused the sandstone joints to peel off and collapse, eventually forming a variety of strange and lifelike shapes, giving people a beautiful vision. Feel.

Although there are many beautiful Danxia scenic spots, in my opinion, Nan Wudang Mountain can still stand out among others and make people’s eyes brighter. The beauty of Nan Wudang Mountain lies in the cliff with a drop of nearly 400 meters. ; It lies in the stalagmite-shaped barrel-shaped peaks rising from the ground; in the unfathomable deep canyons; in the narrow and dark sky.

Leaving the Emerald Valley, there are hundreds of steep stone steps next, and the climb is quite difficult. After that we reached the highest point of Xiaowudang Mountain Plank Road. Admire Xiaowudang Mountain here, with the barrel-shaped peak right in front of you, which is really a different flavor.

The Five Girls Birthday Visitor Attraction has built a brand new glass plank road. This glass plank road is about 200 meters long and goes around the round barrel-shaped mountain. At its feet is a cliff with a depth of more than 300 meters. The price of this glass walkway is 10 yuan per person, but the entrance was unattended, so we entered easily without buying a ticket.

When standing on the transparent glass plank, it is best not to look at your feet. Because there is more than 300 meters of suspension under the glass plank road.

The view here is particularly wide, and the breeze blowing makes people feel relaxed and happy. The Wudang Peak on the opposite side is clearly visible, and the buildings at the foot of the mountain are as small as dollhouses.

I kept taking pictures, and from time to time I leaned in a daze. Before I knew it, it was getting late. Then quickly walked back down the mountain. It didn't take long to arrive at the newly built scenic spot gate. The owner of the sister hotel in Henggang Village has driven to wait at the gate. Since then, this hiking trip has come to a successful end.

Stay overnight in Wudang Town, which is only 5 kilometers away from the gate of the scenic spot. Early the next morning, when we passed the gate of the South Wudang Mountain Scenic Area again, we unexpectedly encountered a rare advection sea of ??clouds. So I quickly took the drone into the air and captured this fairyland-like scene in the camera lens!

At this time, Wudang Peak was empty. In the lens, you can clearly see the newly built U-shaped glass corridor on Wudang Peak. The glass corridor protrudes more than 50 meters from the cliff and is an excellent platform for viewing the beautiful Wudang Mountain. The ticket for the glass corridor is only 15 yuan per person. Compared with other similar attractions in China, it is really a reasonable price.

At this moment, Nanwudang Mountain above the sea of ??clouds is as mysterious and beautiful as a palace in the sky. It’s so beautiful yet so understated and definitely a place worth visiting.
